This. End of discussion. Folks need to get a f*cking grip and stop being desperate for a hedge fund to cling on to the club. Honest to f*cking God.
Another one... Ha

Looks like you are more desperate than anybody is wanting sisu.

Try not to be so obvious. At least get some fluffer type posts in ;)

Who believes this part of the SISU statement?

View attachment 11738

When I originally posted this in a separate thread it included a poll, answers from, I believe it, I don't believe it, I don't know what to believe.

Nick for reasons he has not explained has merged my poll with this thread losing the poll.
Would answering it open a respondent to legal action? After all any answer is merely an opinion.

I merged the threads, the same as I do every time somebody starts on about something very much being discussed in another thread.

Surely that's why discussions should start to find out? There probably will be lots of nonsense from both sides involved.

Why don’t SISU call the councils bluff and print the small print?

Think about it. SISU has offered an “olive branch” of something that they could do anyway and something that would happen anyway if they dropped the legals. The statement on its own is empty. Now if they’re expecting everyone to settle their own legal costs as part of this “olive branch” it’s no longer an olive branch (not that it ever really was), it’s an acknowledgement that SISU can’t get a result from the JR and now they’re trying to mitigate the cost of doing that. What’s the councils legal bill upto now? Was JR1’s legal bill settled or has it rolled forward onto JR2’s? Why are the council going to let SISU of that at cost to the taxpayer when legally (ie within the framework of the JR’s) they’ve done nothing wrong? I think you’ve been a bit premature to label it an olive branch when the devil is in the details. Which you don’t know. Still, it’s not like we’ve been here before.

Because that's why they discuss things, to find a middle ground.

Why would anybody be against that?

Obviously if either side is then stupidly unreasonable you have independents there to judge that.

What objection do you have to a poll? One can't be retrospectively added to an open topic and one I did not create at that, so I started a new one.

I didn't even know it has one as it doesnt show in tapatalk, I just merged them because it was discussing the exact same thing as in here.

The same as when it's a match thread, ratings thread or anything else.

Why do discussions need to start before SISU lay out their full terms and conditions?

Why would anybody be against that?

Do you not think getting everyone together and talking with the intention of reaching a deal is a good thing? Why would anyone be against the current stand off being broken?

Because thats what discussions lead to, compromising and negotiations.

Is forcing them into a room and calling them both out on saying about legals being dropped and building relationships and all that a bad thing?

Seems like it is for some people. Can't see how anything can be lost from it?

Well I may start a poll tomorrow, besides can't you create a special topic label for polls so you can tell (if the poster has the nous to use it).

Did the council actually block a groundshare at the bpa? And why...
Yes! Read Les Reid's tweets/ uncovered emails.
Why? Because they despise SISU and there are statements made verbally to people mentioned on here, that they will never deal with SISU, SISU will never get their hands on the staduim etc....
So this statement puts the ball back in the councils court!! Interesting!
Lets hope the Council stop being utter c@@ts!

I'm pretty sure you can start one on your twitter after you have finished trying to defend jhw. ;)

I think you’re deliberately missing the point. You’ve took a SISU statement at face value (can’t believe you fell for that one given all that’s happened) and done them the service of selling it as an olive branch with no idea of the details. I struggle to believe that it’s as simple as the statement makes out, given our past experiences as the yard stick.

It is an olive branch for talks about the legals to be dropped and to at least start talking. The council have also said to drop the legals and they will help.

So it's simple, make them talk.

I don't think I have said "wow all legals will be dropped and new stadium next year", just that they should both be called out now, get them talking and see what happens.

There's no guarantee about anything coming from it, just that it won't be any worse than it is now.

I find it incredibly bizarre that given the situation we're in, only weeks away from homelessness, that our own fans are arguing that the parties involved should continue to refuse to talk to the club.

It's strange isn't it?

What harm would it do to have them both in the room with an independent person and say "sort it out" or at least "have a good chat" to try to come to an agreement?

I do. That’s what I wanted when ACL were trying to arrange talks to stop us going to Sixfields through Appleton and then latter get us to return from Sixfields through the FL. We had to wait for religious figures to get involved before SISU would talk at the third time of asking and over 12 months after the initial attempt. I just don’t believe that SISU’s statement is as simple as it’s being portrayed by them or by some on here calling it an olive branch. And why would I or any CCFC fan given all the empty statements that have gone before? I think the statement has been carefully worded to whip up a storm in a non existent olive branch tea cup and I ain’t buying it. I don’t think the statement has been written to talk about a new stadium as that’s as much pie in the sky as it’s always been and if they want a deal at the Ricoh they, as we already know, is drop the legals.

Do you honestly believe the statement has been written because they’re serious about talks on a new stadium?

I’ll leave talks about a Ricoh deal out the equation because we already know that part of the statement will happen anyway once they drop the legals.

Good to see Council Dart and Shmeee on the major offensive. Means the council are on the back foot for once.

On a more sensible note. Does anyone really believe Sisu have any intention of building a new ground?
However if this trail of thought gets everyone together for talks on a ricoh extension, then I'm all for it.

The most important thing is this whole saga is, that Coventry City FC start next season.

Sort what out?

They aren’t building a stadium legals dropped or not. If you’re really buying that then I really do pity you in the same way I pity RFC.

Wasps have always said they’ll negotiate a deal out once the legals have been dropped.

Where’s the value in the statement? There isn’t any past whipping up fans like you into believing it’s an olive branch. You’re being duped.

Its pretty easy for that to be disproved though isn't it? Its a win win for the council.

If it gets them in a room together with the thought of legals dropped and ccfc, what's the problem?

The olive branch is only for talks, nobody has said "yes we will have a new stadium from this". Just discussions from what I can see.

Point out to me where I've said a new stadium is being built.

Why so worried about the thought of them discussing things and negotiating?

Even if it's negotiating us at the ricoh, who cares? Why is it worse than it is now?

We need talks to start, if that doesn't happen we have nowhere to play next season. For talks to start something has to give and most likely on both sides as nobody will want to be seen to back down. SISU have given some ground by saying there is a route to dropping the legals. Now let's see CCC and Wasps give some ground and everyone start talking.

If we're just going to dismiss everything SISU say then things will never move forward.

You’re right negotiating needs to start - but let’s gets one thing straight, SISU stating they want to build a new stadium is absolute BOLLOCKS.

Every CCFC fan are sick of their bullshit. Lies lies more lies.

Let’s hope Wasps give us a long lease fingers crossed.

So get them in a room all with legals being dropped at least a possibility in their mind and see where it goes, surely?

Even if it's sisus way of tail between legs, who cares if it helps ccfc have somewhere to play?

Simply an attempt by Sepalla to kick the can down the road, she says she will stop the legals if... aren’t she about to go to the Supreme Court to appeal their case, what does she tell the judges ? “we are appealing but if we win might not carry on” this is the highest court in the land ffs! That’s just a start, Where is this land ? If they find some how long for planning permission ? don’t think that’s just off ccc Secretary of State had to okay the Ricoh project I believe and the EFL will want cast iron assurances by April 25th. I think Wasps might agree a short term rent but there would have to be an absolute cast iron end to all legals by the April 25th date.
