Ah so the man who likes facts didn’t check what she actually said.
I don't know where Wingy saw it. He did mention it, but I couldn't find it anywhere.

And besides, I haven't said that, that is true.

That's why I am waiting for the facts.

I am struggling to understand why this bottle was in his house unless he was connected to the original incident or he is a hoarder of some sort.

Can only think it was left in some sort of alcohol bottle and they picked it up and took it home, but after so long? There surely wouldn't be a half empty bottle left in a park for over two months or so you would have thought.

They just said 'bottle.' Not sure why anyone would just pick up an empty bottle and take it home.

Now they have the bottle though they should be able to match the 'fingerprint' shouldn't they?

It was widely reported in the statement she made in May that she wanted to return to Russia in the long term, BBC, ITV and various punlications
Edit- a punlication is a book of Otis jokes

It's was reiterated in the last week or two and that she's quite eager to get a move on
Mark Urbans piece on Newsnight last week or the one before when this new story broke
He did a broad Skripal feature along with the current story.

Yeah, that's the one.

I knew about her previously saying that she would like to return one day, but this about being eager to return is something a lot newer.

If Russia want her dead she would be signing her own death warrant in going back in the near future.

Can only find a Daily Mail article saying the same thing and I wouldn't take heed of anything they have to say.

Is there a recorded video interview then? How was it reported on Newsnight?

He just did a broad piece highlighting that he'd had contact with Skripal in the past for a book, that she has been communicating with her Family back there and is keen to go back.

Oddly just google her name and then you can see what she actually said

All I can find is what she allegedly said to the Russian press.

Can't find her saying that anywhere here.

The Mail is reporting what she said to the Russian press and it's not verified.

Ha.

So they didn't want to kill the ex Russian military intelligence officer they had a beef with and wanted revenge against, but did want to kill two random civilians with no association to the Motherland whatsoever.

Makes perfect sense.
And that's exactly what the perpetrators hoped you would think.

Right.
Viewed the Mark Urban piece on twitter and IPlayer .
Have to say either I was halucinating or something has been edited (unlikely) or it was a different occasion or reporter.
Absolutely somewhere in the media recently that she has been communicating with Family back home and I was definitely left with the Impression that she was keen to get moving.
But my interpretation seems to be wrong
Apologies.

We've learned that this stuff is extremely pure, hard to identify for lack of Environmental impurities ,can be potent for 50 yrs, that Skripals may have washed their hands reducing it's impact ,that it didn't degrade enviromentally or in precipitation, that chemicals or incineration may destroy it, that washing /dry clearing and wet wipes are the go to solutions for Joe public.
That is Military grade a term introduced into the debate here from other weaponry.
Water is not the neutraliser, but washing the hands may just save a life .
The door knob was laced with the stuff 10x more potent than VX they should be dead?

She will have to wait for Putin to die first I think, shall we say the time frame for a return is in 25 years.

And you are not paying any attention whatsoever!

That is the article from 23rd May.

Wingy said she has SINCE stated she wants to go home 'soon.' That's in the last couple of weeks, not back in May. Different statement.

I clearly said I was looking for the new statement. I said 'I knew of the earlier statement.'

You Google the new 'soon' statement and it only comes up with what she said to the Russian press.

The statement was through Reuters

There is no other statement

Oh but there is the revelation that she was being monitored by the Russian government and under surveillance - what does that lead you to conclude?

Well that's exactly what I was saying. I only knew of the one statement. Wingy said there was another one and not just that she wanted to go home at some point, but that she wanted to go home soon. Hence my looking for a second statement.

Wingy now says that wasn't correct, so there isn't another statement.

So, no need for all the sarcasm and jibes. I was trying to seek out a second statement that didn't in fact exist.

As I say, I was searching but couldn't find it. There's a Russian newspaprn story from about a week ago, but I wouldn't trust that.

Considering they see Skripal as an enemy it is bleeding obvious I would have thought that they would monitor his daughter too, especially as they would have known she was coming over here.

Of course they would monitor her. We would do the exact the same thing if it was the other way round.

The Russians are saying (get all this from my missus who watches Russian news) that the dad of the dead woman worked at Porton Down and also that their top scientist said that Novichok is only active for about 7-10 days.

Hopefully after the tests we will have a clearer idea what happened with this second incident (that's me talking, not Russian news).

I assume this is the same Craig Murray who is the former ambassador to ubekistan or somewhere similar who is an obsessive supporter and defender of Russian foreign and domestic policy?
Is his claim about the relationship between the BBC's Mark Urban and Skripal’s MI6 handler correct or not?

Did Mark Urban say Yulia Skripal "was being monitored by the Russian government and under surveillance" or did he say the Russians “may have been” tapping her phone?

I think Mrs Otis may have misheard? The only claim I've heard from the Russian ambassador to the UK is that Novichok may have leaked from nearby Porton Down.
Nope, not misheard. She watches the news everyday without fail.

This is from TV news programmes over there. Probably will not be official statements from the government, but from Question Time/Hard Talk type programmes.

How can this bottle just turn up? What were the security services looking for and how did they miss it? I’m confused
As I keep saying, it needs clarification and more meat on the bones.

The Skripal one on first inspection seemed clinically planned (a doorknob coated with position), but this one just seems strange from the onset, just some random bottle possibly picked up in the park.

Yep not suggesting cover up but it doesn’t make any sense yet
