On lunch so thought I'd pop BBC News on to get caught up. Of course they're busy getting stuck into Thornberry about Labours plans for the economy rather than talking about Kwarteng being sacked and the government is in chaos.

Thornberry pointed out its pretty hard to respond when even those in government don't know what the current plan is.

BBC reporting that a group of senior Tory PM’s are going to call for her to resign this afternoon. Might be some legs in the she is resigning rumours.

Sorry, that should be next week not this afternoon. Maybe giving her the option of going on her own terms.

and then what, a few more months of nothing being done in parliament while they have another leadership contest?

probably get back to work just in time for their Christmas break.

Agree she's not going to last very long but surely you wouldn't sack the existing and appoint a new chancellor if you were going to resign just hours later?

Scandalous really isn't it, at a time when the country desperately needs leadership.

Oh Liz, this is the 2nd worst move you could of made.

Makes you look weak, clueless and not in control of the party you lead.

Still will someone think of the weirdos in Tufton Street
