For your big day out...Dont start trying to judge away support pal as Wigan do not have a leg to stand on when it comes to away support, your coming to the best ground in the league and its the opening day, if it was 10 games into the season in October etc you would bring 600 tops.

Surely Wigan will have a <50 away following this year if they're not near the top 2.

Be glad to see them bring 2,500, we need the frigging cash ! The atmosphere is always improved for a bit of away support, nothing worse than 300 scattered away fans across 3 blocks on a cold Tuesday night !

Mostly it's the Vital Wigan forum, or 'Latics Speyk' if you wanna type that into Google. Like Wiganlad said, probably close to 2,000 to us come Saturday now tickets are on general sale. Should be a good day out and decent atmosphere either way!

Wigan have sold 900 according to their website which was the initial allocation they took.

Wigan to Coventry 109.7 miles 2 hours
Coventry to Bermondsey 110 miles 2.5 hours (if very very lucky)!!

Just listening to the Nii Lamptey pre-season podcast and it was a decent listen as it normally is but when discussing Wigan, there were a fair number of inaccuracies.

When talking about the squad they mentioned Emmerson Boyce, Grant Holt, Don Cowie and Jermaine Pennant as potential threats where they have played in a total of zero pre-season games. They are expected to leave.

They also said Darius Henderson signed for Rochdale and he has signed for Scunny.

If you look online there are far more available than sold and thats just with 2 stands open. I was hoping for a 15K crowd but reckon it will be 9-10K.
