Wasps Statement (5 Viewers)

Yes. Really. Do you think he’s in the negotiating room? Why would he be?

Think he has a fair bit more influence and power than you would expect.

You have to remember he has also seen both sides by when he was working with Hoffman.

Very. He works closely with the club. His position will be biased. He won’t be in the room, all his info will be what he’s told by the club. Just like everyone else.

He genuinely cares for the club though, more than the other parties. Also called out wasps for being involved in the takeover.

I don’t see how SISU are on the front foot? Someone is clearly lying here. It wouldn’t surprise me if it was SISU.

I emailed the Coventry NW MP last night. It’s time we scrapped the NDAs and got them both around a table with an independent mediator.

I don’t trust politicians at local level, so ive asked her to consider the economic impact of no CCFC to her ward.

MPs won’t change the financial calculation for Sisu.

Bishops won’t change the financial calculations for Sisu.

Fans groups won’t change the financial calculations for Sisu.

Until either Sisu stop trying to reverse the sale or Wasps decide to stop trying to stop them, this is where we are.

Dodging the question again. Is he in the room?

I have no idea who is in the actual room for the discussions or involved in the calls. Neither do you.

He will know more than most of us what's going on and has worked with both "sides" quite closely so would also get an idea of that.

Oh cool! He’s the superest superfan! I had no idea.

I mean obvious if he *cares for the club* then crack on. I know we’re all mere plebs who just don’t care enough 🙄

His info on negotiations will come entirely from conversations with the club not first hand info.

No they won’t. But at least without an NDA we’ll see who’s taking the piss and who’s lying - one says there’s an indemnity clause the other says not.

we need to know whos lying.

The club is in the middle of all of this. We are just the pawn in the games played by Sisu, Wasps and CCC.

For sure, but SISU’s original argument that the stadium rent agreement was not sustainable is fundamentally true.

Who wants to go back to paying £1.3m in rent with no access to match day revenue at games?

If we cannot get a share in the RICOH, which doesn’t look likely at all, then we need to find a way to build our own.

Literally no one is saying go back to £1.3m (1.3 now? Sure it was 1.2?) and no F&B, that’s a straw man.

How do you know?

Are you still denying that Wasps were working with Hoffman?

He will have gathered as much information as he can to make his mind up and has worked closely with them all.

Shmmee knows everything 🙄. Overson who is a successful businessman who has had dealings with both parties is just repeating what he’s told. He’s another SISU puppet I suppose? 🤷🏼‍♂️

They seem to be the ones breaching - I’d imagine they’d be happy for it to be dropped.

or they could be lying and lying and it could be a bluff - who knows

Nah, it’s working perfectly for them. Get to drop hints and let us lot go wild with our imagination and have a ready made excuse to not say anything they don’t want to.

but of all the people involved he's the one I feel has the best interests of the club at heart, I also think, as others have said, he's more involved than we think.

Read his fucking tweets dipshit. He’s not claiming to be in the room “as far as I understand”, “last I heard”, “I think”.

That may be true. But garbage in garbage out. He’ll only know what the club tell him. Just like Pete and Mark. Just like Robins. Just like anyone else who only has privileged access to one party.

That’s not a comment on him. That’s a basic fact.

How do you know he only knows what the club tell him? You are forgetting that he was also working with Hoffman who was working with Wasps.

This is the point you keep missing. He has more access to all parties than most.

He has worked closely with both sides of this argument.

She doesn’t need to. That bond paying a 6% interest rate will cripple Wasps

This time next year Rodney, Wasps will be bust.

Wouldn’t they just go into admin and carry on anyway? Isn’t rugby finance law like football was before Leicester took the piss?

The most damaging thing for wasps would be if every single Coventry fan and the the people of Coventry turn their back on them.

This has to be the goal now... Eventually, things that aren't wanted go away.
This should have been the case from the start. Better late than never.

At what cost do we return to the RICOH?

Last season the indemnity was the issue, I can’t see what’s changed to see why it wouldn’t still be an issue.

Assuming this still is the case, is the risk of signing up to an indemnity and restricting your own manoeuvrability to pursue legal action too.

If it was your business, and your money at stake, would you pay the cost?

Whilst I love the club, I wouldn’t have signed up to it in 2019, nor in 2020 if it were still the case.

So why isn’t he saying it then?

In sure he’s. A lovely guy and loves the club. But he’s not suggested he knows anything. This is just your hero worship cos he bought the club some stuff let’s be honest.

I think it's only really emerged over the last couple of years for many that maybe just maybe... Sisu aren't the only twunts in all this

No way that's the case regarding the Hoffman syndicate, he saw something involving wasps that he didn't like and walked away. Significant moment in this saga for me.
I honestly don't think its the case with the club either, he may be a devoted supporter but I don't think hard nosed business people spend money as he did at Ryton without something in return. Maybe he is just besotted with getting the access he does to Robins and the team but I think there's more to it than that.
