Wasps Statement (5 Viewers)

Can someone clear 2 things up for me.

Why isn't the EU court process thing considered legal action?

And I've forgot the other thing, it'll come back to me.
Technically it is not in the court system yet. It's an investigation by an administrative body. If either party objects to the findings then it goes into the legal system as it falls under the European Court of Justice

I should imagine that Wasps are now in panic mode, having relied upon an agreement with CCFC. In my opinion, SISU have played a blinder in calling Wasp's bluff. If this results in Wasps going busy and leaving the Ricoh, so much the better.
Over the past 2 or 3 years SISU have backed the club 100% and got it running efficiently and now deserve out support. Their past faults and errors are in the past and cannot be changed, so why keep banging on about the past when there is now so much positivity around the club ?

the fact the football league announced the start of the new season yesterday to me seems there was a deadline that needed to be met.
Course there was a deadline. I really hope joy gives the nda a see you later. Where’s it got us anyway? Unless there’s a deal when stadiums open up to agree

I can fully believe City released the statement before informing wasps but then I don’t believe that wasps weren’t aware the efl deadline had passed.

likewise I have no doubt wasps and ccc were caught on the hop with the Warwick uni statement.

Sisu are turning the screw here and for the first time I think we are on the front foot.

As a fan though I’m so sick of the whole situation. The Ricoh just doesn’t feel like home and all the potential it seemed to offer with additional revenue streams have been shown to be a myth; neither acl or wasps have been able to make it work.

Still not convinced we will do it, but building a bare bones football stadium with some separate retail units may suit are purposes far more than trying to maintain a site like the Ricoh with competition just down the road with a rebuilt NEC next to HS2, international airport and resorts world.

WASPs have always come across as the good guys when they talk, the problem they have is they exploited a dispute between a local autority and a football club over an asset that they should never have been able to buy..... One day when the NDA is broken it will be clear why they are vultures and why they are as bad as what SISU are said to be, something i believe there not but the truth has always been twisted to make out what they are like. With the 2 new MPs fresh from the politics backing new stadium move and a return to the city shows there is a change on whats right for the city and that may be different....

Just wonder if there is any way Joy could get her friends in the City to further distress the Wasps Bond issue. This going forward is the critical issue.

Have Wasps come across as the good guys or is that just how the Local Media and Sky Blue Trust etc present them?

We really do need some detail & clarity on why these talks have ended in stalemate again.
We as fans and supporters are owed a full and frank honest breakdown of what went wrong here.
Wasps state it’s not the indemnity clause and Sisu say it’s the same problem as last time - I think by Wasps coming out and saying that’s it’s not the indemnity clause puts the NDA (Non disclosure agreement) in the bin surely.
I think SUSU should spell out clearly why they walked away - in plain English and then let Wasps comment - at least this way we can try and understand it from all sides.
The way it stands right now is confrontational and the battle lines have been drawn - come on Sisu & Wasps you need to be clear - you owe us that for the support we have given travelling to Birmingham last season at least!

Let the mudslinging games begin.

I really want to believe it is the Club that is in the right.

Tangible progress on this new stadium needs to be delivered this season. No excuses.
The club is in the middle of all of this. We are just the pawn in the games played by Sisu, Wasps and CCC.

I spoke to my Wycombe supporting mate about their run ins with Wasps and he dislikes them.

Found an interesting article summing up their state of affairs - see screenshot for a summary.

Interesting how a so called supporters group who signed an NDA with a rugby club. Is banging on how amazing the deal is that we get a % of f&b and a shop at the stadium and so on.

I don’t see how SISU are on the front foot? Someone is clearly lying here. It wouldn’t surprise me if it was SISU.

I emailed the Coventry NW MP last night. It’s time we scrapped the NDAs and got them both around a table with an independent mediator.

I don’t trust politicians at local level, so ive asked her to consider the economic impact of no CCFC to her ward.

Hahaha you think she doesn’t want the NDA? I like you Pete but you may the most credulous person on this site.

If Wasps were desperate, wouldn’t they just drop their conditions and have us back? It’s been Wasps demands from the start (if you believe what the club say), all the power is with them.

We aren’t “starving out” anyone. We simply want to keep trying to get the stadium and they want us to stop. That’s all it’s ever been, no matter what Nicks wall of photos and red string says. Sisu calculate its worth more to keep trying than we are losing.

Frankly that fact makes me doubt the stadium is a serious proposal and not another stalling tactic.
