I assume that’s aimed at me? well you know my thoughts. sisu are not welcome at my club. They have destroyed my club. wasps and council haven’t helped the situation but sisu are the main protagonists in our demise. since they arrived in 2007 it’s gone way. Downhill

I actually thought this was really weird from Robins. Walker clearly hasn't gone for the money. He will probably be Lincoln's main striker. I'm not sure he definitely would have been our main striker.

Clearly it’s a dig at sisu for lack of funds.

Would he not quit like last time?
He has already said the budget is the same as last year?
Are you suggesting they should invest additional funds? Only have to look at Bolton and bury to see where that leads

You seem to ignore the Lincoln manager comments which suggest he was offered no more by them - if anything less

There’s clearly a (slightly) organised effort from a minority on here to try and garner support against SISU again. It’s almost like the Bayliss sale has given them a huge boner.

Let's be fair in all post press conference press releases from the Cov Tel all have been presented in a negative light. I heard Robins talk in the press conference and his wording wasn't negative if not it was positive and very focused , however when printed in the telegraph it sounds dejected and not focused and very negative, in this instance a few words missed, could actually change the whole direction of the story! i guess his best mate being there probably swung it.

Less than who though? Could be they offered less than some others chasing him but more than us ?... truth is , no one knows.

What we do know for sure is that his best buddy from forest plays for them, it’s closer to home, and he’s still a forest player regardless of where he plays this season ... with that in mind, why not go and play with your best mate, up the road

Reading between the lines it looks like we were interested in actually buying not loaning and couldn’t meet the fee

...yeah... these lot... (said it earlier) Yes, the NOPM brigade off facebook, and those who think "all the money is going to SISU"... I'll add in the "Away games only" bunch too... all with absolutely no idea of how their views are affecting the club, yet still moaning about player sales and people not signing....

if I remember rightly he quit to go to another club. if another opportunity like that arose im sure he would be tempted.

who said additional funds? I would say the squad is weaker than last year at present with being Lightweight up front. I hope we do well but not sure of all this optimism and sisu loving.

We can possibly blame Preston for that?
The timing for fans isn’t the greatest but I expect the squad have known he’s going off for some time.

Point the finger at who you like, but blaming the fans who decide not to go to St Andrews is out of order.
“But it’s different this time compared to Northampton”-keep telling yourself that but the bottom dollar is that Coventry City has again been moved out of the City of Coventry.
Fans whether they go or not are NOT responsible for that situation and the impact the move out of the City will have.

Most aren’t blaming fellow fans for not going to home games.
Though Personally I’m struggling to understand the rationale of ‘away games only’. It feels like people are making a stance...that, to me at least, defies logic.
Ultimately though, it’s obviously everyone’s choice.

Walkers only gone on loan anyhow and has moved to play alongside his mate. Money’s not the issue for him as he won’t earn any more with us than with Lincoln.
If forest have given him the choice then he’s chosen to play with his mate rather than play decent football.

so why would he mention money at all? day before the season starts we missed out on our main summer target and lose a key midfielder. yet most on here don’t see an issue. the mind boggles at the way our fans think especially on here

Not sure what’s so important about a rationale, as you say. It’s a decision based on belief. It could have been avoided, people don’t want to see us play ‘home’ games in another city, that’s more than enough. They don’t owe anyone an explanation.

Didn't say fans were responsible for the situation!!!!
Don't/can't respect "away games only" some people just can't get to Bham or time during their normal Saturday won't allow it.... respect that..
However, more often than not, if you can do an away game, you could do home games. Therefore if you do "away games only" you are choosing to fund our rivals in the league rather than funding our own team. Just ridiculous.
It was a bandwagon (more rightly) jumped on (including by myself as that move WAS the clubs choice) during Sixfields, but, as you wrongly stated, the club haven't been "moved out of the city again" they have been forced out by Wasps (with the council obviously hiding behind them). Tell me... what were the other options this time??

Well, people have announced on this forum that they won’t be watching cov outside the city etc so I think by the very act of doing so opens it up to scrutiny. In the same way that people who announce they will be going can argue their reasons for doing so. Isn’t that in part what a forum is about? Doesn’t mean it has to get nasty. Just good to share views.

There's some truth in it actually, walking away from your club because you can't be arsed to travel an extra few miles and then moaning about transfers etc...
We haven't moved to fucking Wales ffs

Let's just hope they don't ever build a stadium a mile and a half away from the ricoh in Nuneaton.... Lol

Cowley did an interview yesterday where he said he had been getting to know Walker for the last twelve months. They've worked on getting him for a long time, given the choice he was always going there.

If you go back and read the quotes, he said the club didn't give him any assurances.
“I spoke to the owner, I sought assurances and didn’t get any assurances from the owner of Coventry,” he said as he was unveiled today as the Terrier’s fifth manager in as many years.

That's what is called a fact you should try and use them. So if this time he has assurances and they are broken, I would bet my bottom dollar he would leave.

You originally said the squad is weaker than at the same time last season it isn't. Is the squad weaker than at the end of last season? Probably a little. But a striker and CAM will sort that.

Wow. How hard is it.

You claim Sisu were banking on the Wilson money. Robins has consistently said we have the same budget as last season.

If walker was out of that budget because Lincoln paid more (which we don't know) it doesn't matter if Wilson was sold or not.

Yes but from whichever side of the fence telling the other side is wrong is complete bollocks. People go, others won’t, move on. The only wrong is being in Birmingham, fact. Whether I was going or not, I couldn’t feel more deflated about a season if I tried, after a summer of political shite.
