Well, it is pretty stupid yes and the desire to make everything political in this fashion is wrong. Unless I'm missing something however, the two cases are entirely different given that Charlie Kirk was an active political speaker.

Given that most of the left on here couldn't wait 24 hours to start sticking the knife in on Kirk, I find the moral highground stand point here pretty silly really.

Kirk said some pretty awful things to cause division. Reiner did some pretty impressive things to better people's lives. Not hard to see why there's a difference.

Also can you not see why the President making statements like that is different to people on a football forum saying stuff about Kirk?

There is only one side that's made themselves look very silly with the moral high ground.

I am still calling it what it is though, a cheap shot back to a few months ago when posters on here got called out for talking some pretty distasteful things about someone who was killed for his beliefs. We went round the houses with a few who did their very best to say he deserved it, without as much saying the words. Getting all juiced up on this now isn't a particularly good look, and it is quite transparent.

Certainly, he had an active interest in politics, but he wasn't assassinated by someone trying to take him out for political reasons at a public event of which he made a living out of. He was murdered by his son in a heated argument. There are similarities, but it isn't on the same level. I would be curious to see the police report as to what unfolded in the run up to this.

You aren't on the right side of this as much as you think you are really, and you were much closer to the way Trump is behaving than you think. I disagree with all of it to be honest. Someone has passed away, there should be a better level of respect.
