Stockley would be a very good signing and if we were to also sign Chaplin it would make for a dangerous duo.

Has George Thomas played for the Leicester first team in pre season friendlies? if not could we get him in on loan?

I like George Thomas, but he isn’t what we need right now imo
He didn’t play in their win over Notts County.

Not a rumour but John Marquis would be available for a million. Bit pricey but we're getting desperate.

IF Kenny Jackett is still looking for a striker, he's more likely to be a target for Portsmouth than us, at that price. Jackett managed him at Milwall. Career avarage is 1 goal in 4 games, so on the face of it, he's over-priced.

Not a rumour but looking at what's out there, Kayden Jackson and Billy Kee had a good partnership at Accrington last year. Jackson is young enough for development potential and Kee has a bit more experience at 27 and come through some tough times.

14 in 76 games. Scored most his goals in League 2. Also at 29 doesn't fit the potential for development profile.

We had the chance to sign Jackson before he went to Stanley but decided to look elsewhere.

The guy commentating on Derby TV said very early in the game that we missed out on signing a player today due to his club themselves missing out on somebody. It goes to show just how convoluted these things can become at times

Toby Fair that's no more than most of us would assume from all the gossip on the Chaplin thread

"Frank Lampard’s Derby have signed Peterborough’s prolific striker Jack Marriott, whose club started the summer demanding £5m for the 23-year-old and have ended up accepting £1.5m "
according to the Guardian
...makes £1.5 m for McNulty look either good business or an inaccurate figure

Would cost a fair whack but id go for Doidge from Forest Green. Seen him loads. Scores tonnes in a shit team. Like a lower league Harry Kane in my book. Maybe not the nippiest striker but would be great business

has 40 in 73 for FGR

worth a cheeky bid with add ons and possibly even loan them Ponti to sweeten the deal

Their chairman has said that it was more than that and the figures reported were inaccurate.

League one clubs Bristol Rovers and Sunderland along with Aberdeen are said to be keen on Doidge, Local press saying a valuation of £750,000, would that automatically rule us out?

Sunderland consider Aberdeen target Christian Doidge of Forest Green Rovers

That's a ridiculous price for Christian
A good guy and works like a dog but needs 5 chances for each goal

Still averages over 1 in 2 for a team that isnt very creative. Seen him a bunch and im impressed. Good hold up but also scores some long rangers

Better strike rate in league games 20 in 79 than Marc 28 in 112 although i'm not comparing him as a player he has got a better goals per shots rate than Harry Kane
