There was only one gobby Man City fan a few rows back that was moaning.
The other two that were thrown out later had moved seats and I suspect they were with the row behind, on the face of it seemed to be ejected for no reason whatsoever.
I will say, though that the hospitality was excellent and really good value for money looking at everything else available in the Premier League, and the staff are very friendly and efficient.

The fellas I spoke about in an earlier post said they'd told Man City when they bought the tickets that they were away fans and they were told that would be fine.

On booking obviously you give an address and that coupled with signing up with a new account is pretty clear 🤷‍♂️. They also interviewed a city fan in the hospitality itself so they knew the drill.

The emailed instructions were pretty clear; “City Hall is for home fans and you should not openly support the away side”. Which you’d understandably take as saying you’re ok just don’t cheer for (the proper) City.

I get it, risk of riot in most cases if you do take the piss, although probably not there amongst such a sanitised home support.

If the two that were removed later were part of that bigger group then fair does I suppose. The row in question wernet being particularly rowdy but joining in on PUSB is pushing it. I fancy it would’ve got worse as the game went on and with a half time top up.

Yeah just the one Manc with a few “fuck offs” seemed to start the ball rolling. Without realising I jumped up when their keeper almost let it over the line. There followed the removals, I thought we were done for 😂

A few of our group were in hospitality. 1 joined in with the sky blues song early doors and got warned he'd be thrown out and just piped down after that.

We met so many people who were in there, 10 of us went up and 4 were in hospitality.

Someone said they thought there were a couple of hundred in there, Ive no idea if true.
.one thing is clear though, we're not a big draw, and that is reflected in the pricing of home team hospitality, which offers an opportunity to get to away games without spening a fortune, if you can keep quiet!

I walked from Piccadilly station to the ground alongside the canal, in City colours and the same on the way back. No trouble at all, all very friendly.
 
We were in the new Pep Guardiola stand and there were loads of tourists/plastics around us. It’s going to be much the same at Liverpool, Man Utd et al which it always has been niw for some time.
 
Was in the Townley pub before and after with both home and away fans milling about.. no issues … then on the walk to town after bumped into a city fan in a half and half scarf.. took the shine off the day really 😂
 
I was in the bottom layer right next to the home fans. No problem at all. Stood with a guy called Mark, who apparently runs the rugby supporters club. Nice bloke, he might not think the same.He fooked off at half time.🤣😉

Was in the away end so can't comment too much but I don't think Liverpool/United will be as bad. They're sold out and re sale are pricey so I think the "tourists" buying those will still be fans at least. Man city gets actual tourists who don't support them as they can pick up tickets at face.
 
I was amused by the announcement on the train apologies for the overcrowding, it’s a busy Saturday with Coventry City fans going back home to Coventry and Manchester fans going home to wherever, all over the place.
 
Looking back over the 40 plus years I’ve been going regularly to football, they’re aren’t many teams in a position to criticise Man City’s fan base in terms of consistency, numbers and travelling support.

We are not one of them and it’s embarrassing when we do.

Now let’s sing the new EMC song 🙄

I do live outside Bury, it’s the nearest town to me. And it’s also a shit hole. Ruined by mass immigration, HMOs and a labour council that has no care for its people.

We were discussing this yesterday on the way up.
Just my personal opinion but I definitely prefer Liverpool or Leeds for a night out

We avoid Manchester City centre. We always do day trips to London or Edinburgh. It’s not a nice place if you live here trust me.

Obviously you have much more experience than me I just know if we go for concerts we look for Manchester as I've always enjoyed it up there

Either way it has more going for it than our esteemed centre unless you want continuous nitties and chavs

Totally agree. 38 years living up here and also working in the city it’s changed so much. In its day Manchester was amazing nights out. It’s all changed for the worse. My wife works in Manchester and she doesn’t feel safe getting the tram home. Her choice is to move and look for another job somewhere, but not Manchester. If you know you know 🫣

They were confused when I returned 45 minutes later with a pair of Clarks Wallabees on.
