Arsenal was bad but today, amount of people buying half and half man city cov city scarves to treasure from their first and only ever game.

Absolutely terrible atmosphere as well. Didn't hear them at all all game.

Stadium half empty on full time as well.

Sorry but on the TV you could clearly hear the cov fans all game.
Etihad is gash for atmosphere tbh but definitely could hear our fans more than those plastic mancs

We now own a 'half and half' scarf. Its actually a nice one, lovely colours on both halves.

city were not great then but most of the city fans you did meet came from places like stockport

I lived in S Manchester most, and would say it seemed fairly even. Met (many) more Manchester United fans at work, tbf, but more people I was friends with were Manchester City.

It seemed to be what part of the city you came from, and yes, Stockport quite Blue. Salford, on the other hand, pretty much entirely Red.

They'd always get decent crowds, though, and travelled well whichever division they were in.

Well, ok.

Greater Manchester far more Red, but in my experience (which obviously isn't definitive and based on nothing more than how it appeared to me), the City of Manchester seemed fairly even.

There's absolutely no denying that Manchester City have always had a sizeable support base, though, and that for the most part, it was pretty local to the club.

Yep, sat down a bit incognito to begin with and it soon became apparent we were surrounded by city fans. 7 or 8 behind us were well oiled and got removed when a Manc took offence to a couple of them quietly singing along to PUSB.

Then minutes after the goal another two who I only remember minding their own business got escorted out, best guess because they didn’t cheer. The latter one looked incredibly harsh.

Decent set up in the Hall and great seats but being away from the SBA and sitting on our hands killed the experience. And that was the quietest home crowd I can recall for many years, gash. City boys did us proud, electric.

Was that away from the coach compound? We literally went straight from ground to coach compound (straight outside exit) so there seemed little opportunity to bump into Man City fans. At Arsenal, there was obvious potential for issues, due to location of coaches.

Yeah was on the way into town. On new Islington green.

Was the other side of the tram stop so didnt see it happen, by the time I got to it he was flat out blood all over him, looked like he'd been stamped front and back. Assume it was one of our lot but didn't see. Cameras round there too so someone's getting done.

Were the crowd who got thrown out from Nuneaton?
We were talking to some on the train who'd been thrown out who said they'd done nothing wrong, they were all steaming!

You must’ve sat near me and my wife then. The row behind us was cleared out for what I thought was petty innocuous reason, especially when I bought the tickets it was clear we were Coventry fans and the ticket staff were quite happy to sell the tickets.
There was only one gobby Man City fan a few rows back that was moaning.
The other two that were thrown out later had moved seats and I suspect they were with the row behind, on the face of it seemed to be ejected for no reason whatsoever.
I will say, though that the hospitality was excellent and really good value for money looking at everything else available in the Premier League, and the staff are very friendly and efficient.
