He was recalled because we were barely playing him from December onwards and went over our loan quota. If we wanted to keep him we should have played him more.
Exactly. We weren't playing him which pissed wolves off so they recalled him to go out elsewhere where clearly there was more guarantee he'd get his arse on a football pitch. Whichever way you choose to look at it - We let him go!

They are winning more regularly than us at the moment though, aren't they or are certainly picking up more points which is worrying. the form table over the last 6 games out of the teams around us with the exception of Wycombe only Birmingham have picked up fewer points than us Rotherham, Derby, Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday are all in the top half in the form table.

You have missed the clubs that are currently just above us in the table that are pretty much in freefall. Cardiff and Huddersfield have both been performing badly and either could easily end up in the bottom three.

In reality we are 4 points clear.
That only changes when teams actually gain points.
There are also 3 other teams between us an 22nd spot.
We're in a relegation battle. Anyone who thought it would be any different has set themselves up for a big disappointment

I agree. I actually thought we’d be bottom by some distance by this stage so that we aren’t is a bonus. I’m just concerned that the pattern of out performances v results isn’t changing and people we had condemned to the drop suddenly seem more capable of getting a result. We also just collected a grand total of 4 points against 3 of our supposed inferiors. That’s why as it stands without any change I think we will drop

Looking at that table how the hell did Hull get relegated. What was the points needed to survive?
They sold their best player by million miles, and never replaced him. Arguably one of the best players in championship. That's why.

You have to believe Walker will make a difference. Hopefully that is indeed going to be the case.

We're on a bad run. I'm going to dig out the post I.put up during our 9 unbeaten where I said we'd hit another bad patch and I'm convinced we'll also his another good spell.

To be honest, we're not really in that bad a bad patch now we just had an horrendous result last night and people are worried about the run of fixtures this month.

A day ago Rotherham were apparently certs to go down.

They win a game and the usual suspects tell us they're a good team and not going down.

It's weird how when we win a game it means nothing but when our rivals win a game it means they're putting up more of a fight than us.

Keep looking down.

Yeah.

The same lot will say after we beat Watford on Saturday. It was never in doubt. Comical.

Why do you think scoring goals is a bigger problem than our defending?
We're 17th on goals scored we're 22nd on goals conceded.

Looking at the form table I think Barnsley, Luton, Huddersfield and Cardiff will get sucked in. Shocking form last 5 games.

Perhaps not being able to play our top strikers is the problem? Didn’t Wolves want Giles playing in a set position is that where Rovrum are playing him

I have a feeling either Luton, Millwall or Cardiff will get dragged into all this. Usually some comfortably looking mid table side hits a longish bad patch that puts them in free fall.
Like some have said at the start of the season we would have snapped the leagues hand off to be where we are now . We do need Godden or Walker to be back on the pitch asap, especially if DaCosta stays fit and puts those great crosses in the box.
I'm sure we will flirt with relegation till season end but in the end we will pull through. A fully fit skyblues team is a very decent team at this level, and most of the missing players are on their way back

So Wycombe are definitely going down right?
Probably. Wycombe next 5 games are against Forest, Wednesday, Huddersfield, Derby and Millwall. If they're gonna get out of it they'll need to get some wins from those games.

We didn't let him go, we wanted to keep him and he was recalled.
We let him go, by leaving out in the cold. No one is going to leave their player on loan somewhere they are being left out the squad. Had he been in the squad and not the 6 loanee left out of the squad he wouldn't have been recalled. Ergo we let him go.
