Source? Literally every comment thread is one sided, every FB thread. In fact I've yet to find anyone staying away from Sixfields because of inconvenience personally, yet you continue to peddle this myth that there is no boycott and it's the actions of a small minority.

This high paying job you have, it isn't as the PR man for a military dictatorship is it?

Love it. You require a source as you don't agree. The away and home followings are similar. Its reasonable to assume at least 4,000 have been once to Sixfields.

Anyway that's not the point. The point is those who don't go don't have the opinion spoin Kop claims. Or do they? If they do will you show me the source?

I remember driving home from work and hearing the news on the radio, I was quite shocked as I thought he worked hard for the club.

There is of course the alleged reason for the collapse of the deal.

You must use jumpers for goalposts because they are a lot easier to move.

Seems odd then that our away attendance is higher than our home attendance and that we've taken huge away followings to grounds further away than Sixfields.

No, I require a source otherwise it's my anecdotes Vs yours and while that's fun, it's rather pointless.

I've stated the evidence for my claim, I just asked you do the same.

How is it reasonable to assume 4k fans went to Sixfields when we haven't had a home attendance that high?

And even if that statement could be backed up, it's still a minority of the fanbase taking last season's home attendance as a base, let alone the ones who were already staying away.

Face it, this is one ridiculous statement you're going to have to put to bed.

I think the reality is somewhere in between. I used to go to a lot of away games, you see the same old faces. I guess the numbers have swelled due to fans getting their CCFC fix. On Facebook, Twitter etc the vast majority are anti SISU and are totally opposed to sixfields. They are the vocal ones. But I'm sure the silent creatures of habit have just stopped going to the home games because it's harder to get to. I actually know someone who has been once but finds it too much of a strain (he's getting on in years) Yes the majority are boycotting sixfields but I would wager a fair few don't go because it's too far. It don't matter the reasons why they ain't going though does it, the fact is they ain't going in any great numbers.

It's reasonable to assume that 4,000 have been to a game in Northampton. I agree. How many gave up and stopped going to be replaced by people that said they would never go as it was their way of protesting? Free car park at the side of the stadium and easy to get to it has been said.

It is also reasonable to assume that 7,000 went to MK Dons to watch our club play. Further away so takes longer to get there. Harder to get to?

In fact, the inability to go would be a far more cutting message to get across than any active boycott, if played right...

Same here. I'm done until we're back in Cov, ideally with new owners, but if I'm honest I'll still go if it's Sisu.

I do sometimes worry that the constant arguments on here will run out and I'll have nothing keeping me involved with the club, but as long as Grendel's around that won't happen

Grendel: keeping the CCFC fanbase engaged when others can't.

NEVER in a million years will I, my dad & family, friends, ever go to Sixfields. OR any fantasy land in the Coventry area.
People say we should engage, keep the dialogue doors open with Sisu. WHY?
They are legal thugs. Asset strippers. Liars. Not to be trusted. At every turn they disappoint. Interested in only one thing, making money.
We should be as hostile as possible with them, make their position untenable.
Any other course is a betrayal of our club.

So you never went when we were at the Rickety ? Or at HR ?
The argument is that we are not in Coventry, fck the sixfingers because its not our home, when and if they start playing again in Coventry a lot of support will be there.

Kev, in fairness, I don't know why you are drawing a conclusion he hasn't been to HR or the Ricoh? I read into his post that (and this is just my view) he won't go because it either won't be built or it won't be anywhere near Cov: perhaps he should have used quotes to get his piss-taking message over "in the Coventry area".

KD, your post puzzles me. Of course I've been going to City matches religiously for over 55 years. 5 home games missed in those years. And a heck of a lot of away games.
No, I don't like people going to Sixfields. Their choice of course. But I don't have to like it. And I'll express my view on it. About the damage they are doing.
If they start playing in Meriden or Harbury etc etc, the support won't be there. But we know Sisu aren't building a new stadium.
Cheers.

I think the point that is being made is that by some of your comments, especially around those that attend sixfields, may not be abusive as in swearing at them or name calling but is still abuse in another form. Your other post finished off with saying that anyone who attends sixfields is betraying the club. That in itself is going to stir up a response. Your language is pretty emotive so the responses will be likewise.
Your, shall we say displeasure of SISU is obvious to see and personally I pretty much agree with you. To put things into context, I agree with you wholeheartedly about SISU but you have said you will give them money if they return to playing at the Ricoh where I would not. But I wouldn't suggest you or anyone else were betraying the club for doing so.

Turkey, but I'm not abusing anyone. I'm expressing an opinion in a civilised manner. Am I to say, ok lads go ahead, I'm fine?
I don't think it's fine. And I will continue to say that.
I think they are big enough to hear my views and carry on. I do think going to Sixfields is a betrayal of our club, going along with the enemy if you like.
And Sisu are very much the enemy of our club, make no mistake about that.
To say I don't come out with the foul mouthed language that a few posters do, but I abuse people nevertheless, is, quite frankly laughable. The poor lambs.
But appreciate you putting across your points in a decent manner as always.

The abuse is repetitive and toothless so nobody would be hurt by it outside of boredom, but it's there. Adding 'with all respect' or whatever crap you pad it out with is just another 'I'm not racist, but' prefix.

I think it is generally a bad move for Cov fans to attend Sixfields.
I disagree with those who say the attendance is irrelevant.
However I understand that different people have different circumstances and different opinions.

It isn't abuse. It's my opinion.
Respectfully yours.
Throwing the racist thing in is plain weird. Now that's not abuse? How odd.
You guys can dish it out - with the crude insults - but don't like it when someone questions you.

I am perfectly happy to be questioned. I think your hatred for sisu has blurred your sense of reality. You are like the religious fable where the woman who stole a baby was happy for it to be cut in half as long as you had your share.

The likes of you, duffer, astute, OSB, chiefdave, skyblue john no longer can understand reality. You all will willingly accept CCFC's death if sisu are gone. Then you will look back and wonder where did it all go wrong,

Yes Grendel.

Most would say that your hatred of CCC is affecting your judgement. Adding OSB to your list shows your one sided views. The one person that understands what is going on more than anyone else on here. Reality is our club will not come home whilst SISU keep on pressing the self destruct button. Most of us don't want SISU running our club....and that will be the vast majority. Nothing can be done by us to stop SISU wrecking our club. That don't mean we should attack everyone else involved hoping for an end to this.

I could handle SISU being at our club if they ran it much better. But they don't care about us or our club. But if things change and our club starts to get back to where it was when they joined us I would be much happier. Could even forgive them a bit. Will never forget though.

I assume you're not reading the 'not racist, but' part as an accusation, you'd have to be fiddlestickingly stupid to read it as such.

Thanks for the courteous reply. As an attendee for 60 years, I'm always nice when I equate people not doing what I want as being traitors. Just opinion though innit? People can do as they like, but they're killing the club and should be held up as murderers to be fair with respect. I don't dish anything out personally, I just give my opinion. To say otherwise is pure poppycock and flimflam, with all due respect. You're a great guy and I appreciate the input, but you're hiding behind a thin veneer of politeness like a snide weasel (both words allowed on TV before 9pm). As a 70-year attendee I mean that in the greatest respect and politeness as I'm always nice and aw shucks just here as an 80-year attendee giving my opinion.

Football has changed.
Those over 40 think that a club should recognise sporting values representing the community.
The SkY generation hope for a billionaire from Asia or beyond to chuck millions at the problem.
The first group is anachronistic, the second, materialistic and without ethics. The bean counters call the shots throughout society, Ccfc will be no different.
Meanwhile Grendel plots his wormlike existence, spreading contagion and malice with every poisoned utterance. Steer clear.

Yes I agree. The Club was formed to acheive sporting success. Now it is an asset for Cayman Isles tax avoiders to make money from. Grendel has, unfortunately, nailed his flag to the wrong mast. Pity.

Did you have a season ticket in the final season at the Ricoh? If so I have bad news I'm afraid.
