Leave what out?

It was a genuine question. He referred specifically to his "arse muscle" so I asked how it was out of curiosity.

Haven't had a Dominoes for years, there are much better smaller ones about that will be half the price and taste nicer!

KFC just looks manky, half of them look derelict.

I had a Basement Brown's at lunchtime the other week, cheap and good. Much better than any of that Domino's or other sugary base shite

I always go for local independents when ordering a pizza - never touch chains.

Indeed and I get sneezing fits. I can sneeze multiple times in a row. It is scary. If that happens I have to pull over.

perhaps they should get together and do a swap. Chris could munch on Gabbys burger, whilst she licks the cheese from... etc..

Salmonella is a little git when it goes "extra-enteric", as Tom's tale indicates. Glad the LRI got you through it, mate.

Sky are doing my head in. I'm moving house next Friday, the house I'm moving into is currently empty. Despite booking my broadband move ages ago they are now saying they can't do it due to the current occupants.

Doesn't matter how many times I tell them the house is empty they point blank refuse to do anything until the non existent current occupants move out which they've somehow decided happens on 29th.

They also claim they can't install a new line as Openreach don't allow more than one line per address. What a load of bollocks.

Sky bloody useless. Took them 4 attempts to get us hooked up at our flat. All because of their awful communication. Or crap engineers. Or both! First one said he couldn’t do it because he needed bigger set of ladders. They were warned it was second floor. Number two came along and said we needed a specialist heights team (fancy rephrase of the first reason)
Third one came along said he was unable to do it.
Fourth simply came up and said oh we only needed access to the communal box! It took weeks of this farce to have it done.

It's good but had a few deliveries off them where all the topping slid off into one corner of the box!

That's reminded me I had exactly the same thing years ago in a second floor flat. Third time I had someone out for that he said he was just going to get his tools from the van and did a runner. After all that the fourth chap that came, and actually did the job, just leaned out the window to do it!

He reckoned it was because most Sky installers are self employed and paid a flat rate per job so if its more than up a ladder and stick a dish up they aren't interested. He was salaried by Sky and their priority, at least at the time, was no call backs. He even gave me his mobile number to call him direct rather than Sky if there was a problem.

I looked into it when my boss told me it was normal. 96% of companies pay above the minimum sick pay apparently.

You're driving along a motorway and the matrix signs dictate that in one mile lane two and three are closed for roadworks. You then get drivers beginning to move across to the left as expected..... 800 yds.........600 yds...........400yds..........200 yards. You see the cones ahead. By now you're down to 30 mph or less.
Right at the point at which lane two is about to disappear and lane 3 has gone, you look in your wing mirror and some tosser is doing 60 and determined to squeeze in, right in front of you, from you're right. Oh no you don't matey.
Conversely - 200yds from the lane closure empty right down to the cones...a waste of tarmac. The lane isn't closed until the cones force you to move across...& those in the right hand lane have right of way.

It's similar to look9ng up what time a shop closes - yesterday I did just that. It said 5:30. I ventured in for one thing & I knew exactly where it was. Went to the counter & the manager was the only person there..."Can't put it through as everyone has gone home & I have closed the till down" Like why stay/say you're open until 5:30 if you aren't able to serve after 5pm???

I’m the same, no point standing in a queue for 20 minutes. Get up when it’s down to 4 or 5 people.
Even then there's little point. Invariably have to queue once the other side of the gate.

Also hate people switching their phones on as soon as the plane touches terra-firma. Why??? Even if your house is burning down, you have to get through passport control & get to the car/transport. It just means whatever you fi d out about between then & when you are I a position to do something is spent worrying about something you can do nothing about.

Just smacks of self-importance &/or over reliance on their technology to me.

To be fair though if everyone did that nobody would get on the plane.

Why don't they have the gate technology on portable handsets in the gate waiting area to prevent one queue at least?

Add to that people who get days / weeks off for Xmas who like to keep reminding everyone about it. Not fun when you only get Xmas Day and Boxing Day off. Must be worse for those that don't even get those two days off.

All week I've had people going, 'last day today, not back until 6th January'. Lucky you.

They have to use their annual leave though. Unless school/college or similar employees I should imagine

came on to moan about BT, and saw this...

I have 2 lines in to my property... and as I’ve now retired, asked them to drop one of the lines, but I wanted them to swap the number from one to the other. (2nd line has my router, 1st line is main home number)

not difficult you’d think.

Think again. This was early December. Main home number is still not in use.

I mean it stands to reason that they will have to go high with the dish in the majority of cases - i took an hour to sweet talk the fucker to put the dish up so it would clear the trees - have Sky Q being installed next month hopefully will have no trouble

Virgin Fucking Media.

Signed up when I separated from my wife after being a customer for 14 years. Was told because she kept the line I’m a new customer with no recognition. Fair enough I suppose.

Bill creeped up to £50+ so called to get a better deal, was told they can’t do anything for me so I cancelled and went with EE cos I don’t need the full 100mb bandwidth.

Three days later get a call from Virgin asking me why I left, told them I don’t need the speed and they’re expensive and wouldn’t offer me a deal despite being a customer for now 15.5 years. He started saying “you say you don’t need the speed but you’ve used xxGB a month on average”. Told him that’s a usage cap not bandwidth and EE also has unlimited usage. Then he starts saying he can do me a deal so told him he’d missed the boat and I’d given them two opportunities to offer me something and now I’ve gone. He got a bit pissy and hung up.

Such a shitty company.

Have to hand it to them their new customer sales teams are quality and do an excellent job but their post sale customer care is appalling!!!

As much as Sky pissed me off towards the end both their facilities and customer care is streets ahead.

Two faced people.

Usually spend about 7 hours of my 8 hour shift working alone, which is great. The past few days I've had to join another 'team' to cover illness, just constant back stabbing and slagging each other off to me, yet they're best mates to each others face. I was very undiplomatic when I told them I'm sick of hearing it. So, I'm sure they spent the rest of the day talking about me.

Anyone I hear who slags people off behind their back I’m certain is slagging me off when I’m not there.

Yeah, tbh with you I'm strangely comfortable with that as it helps to massage any guilt I have about slagging somebody else off. It's just a reality of life especially in the work environment today.
