"so... will i have a budget in January to strengthen this shite team?"

"no... and you will sell Stevenson to help fund your £500 per week wages"

Fair play to him for turning this down... a bit more publicity for our shitsu owners

Maybe the talk of a takeover is actually imminent and Hasslebaink is the choice of the new owners ? One of the parts of the deal may be that SISU appoint now so the new owners don't have a league 2 club to deal with when things finally go through ?

A hell of a lot of speculation and guess work there of course

Jeez! I'm really starting to wonder about some of our fans recently.

It's almost as if they are fans of like counts and media articles.

maybe its a good thing that in 66 games he hasnt had a real bad patch? and the 1 he did he wasnt given time to rectify

not that im saying i want jimmy especially. but no problems with him either.

I've no problem with him, if he's the chosen one I'll support him but the appointment don't fill me with the same confidence as a Russel slade type.
I still think we will fall out the league with JFH.

What an odd thing to say. I thought you'd want the best possible manager for your team.

I'm not sure he's the right man but if he's given the job I'll be backing him 100%. Why would you want our manager to fail from day 1?

That's not the point I was trying to make. You're not a manager so you don't know what will attract him or not, or any other manager for that matter. Wanting him to turn down the role thinking it will reflect badly on our owners is decidedly odd.

You're obviously saying whilst SISU remain we won't have a manager because NO ONE will come here.

What would be the offer 1500 a week and very little in way of support come Jan.

After the same pattern the owners show and the direction the club is taking seems like even the managers are getting wise to the true story of the club. Even the stand in said we are on our arse.....

Anyone with any sense yes, there's nothing to attract any decent manager to the club, except a wage maybe?

I echo that, In my opinion he's not the man we need, jimmy would deserve time to turn us around... time we simply don't have.
Tho if he's the man he deserves the support. Generally people on facebook are just shouting as per, probably don't even go home or away and hide behind the sisu out, nopm.

We are in League 1, surely decent League 1 managers will be used to working without a massive budget? Hence they are decent League 1 managers.

Well, I personally we can get the best manager we possibly can. Can't comment on your views obviously.

Correct, a league one or two manager is used to the constraints we have.

We're not shopping at Tesco or Sainsbury's anymore, not even aldi or Poundland. We're looking in there bins to see what we can salvage!!

Bar a couple of teams like the Boltons, the Sheff Utds everybody is in the same boat. While Mowbray and Venus were sniffing around Waitrose the shelves were being raided everywhere else by other league 1 teams.

It isn't just about the money, it's about using a system that will work in this league and getting players to suit the system. It is all well and good going out and drafting in 2 left footed wingers if you then decide not to play wingers, then when you do play wingers using a centre forward.

I am not sure what people think it is going on in League 1 and if their managers all have multi million transfer budgets, too much Sky Deadline Day.

Are they used to working without a football ground to play in?

Not sure they are used to the dramatics.

I wonder if he's used to a team whose fans want them to lose and not employ a decent manager.

Might be more to do with the whole mess the club is in, with the fans at 'war' (for want of a better word) with the owners and nobody wanting to deal with the owners and the history of mismangement and conflict that is putting people off becoming manager here not the lack of budget. There will always be someone to take the job, how good they are is a different thing. We can only hope for the best.

Who is the right man ? We've just had an expert manager in Tony Mowbray who couldn't arrest one of the most alarming slumps I've witnessed, his right hand man for years failing miserably, we had the up and coming whipper snapper in Steve Pressley, after a bright start petered out desperately, the all too brief reign of loyal Mark Robins, going back Iain Dowie, popular choice, successful at other clubs dismal here and then there was Andy Thorne. So I'd give anyone brave enough to take on the biggest poison chalice in professional football. One thing I will say about Hasselbank is he is Dutch and knowing how the Dutch can be I doubt he would take much shite from Fisher and co.

We won't have one pretty soon because WASPS aren't budging. Not to mention the academy debacle.
