@Sky Blue Pete Apologies if this has been raised in a previous meeting, but on the subject of long queues and waiting times, have the forum been asked about tackling the long queues in the concourse (especially at half time)?
This may have changed as I don't tend to buy anything in the ground given the high cost, poor quality and massive queues but when I have in the past always amazed me that at peak periods, ie: half time, they were never prepared for a rush. Have pints poured ready to go as you do at music festivals. The transaction shouldn't be go up ask for something and then wait a couple of minutes while one person wanders off to get it.

Ah maybe this is what I was thinking. Club spend is club spend. I doubt a club like ours has tightly ring fenced budgets. Though maybe you know better than Boddy 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think you're right that budgets aren't tightly ring fenced. They'll spend extra in certain areas if they need it - certainly as far as the team goes.

Im just not sure what the argument here is? Joys taken the £400k for handbags? Boddy is embezzling?

I think the owners are shite but I can believe that there’s been a bunch of unforeseen costs so unforeseen income gets eaten up.

It's pretty much the same now as far as I can see. I think they do partially pour pints in advance, but it's still slow.
If I want a pint or something at half time, I either can go down at 35-40 minutes to beat the queue and miss the game, or queue at half time and miss the first 5-10 minutes of the second half.
I recall it also being bad before the move to St Andrews as well, but I think there may have been less bars open back then (with lower attendances of course)

Er because if we don't its out of our hands and the stadium management company will make the call
We pay for our use of the stadium management company and the reason the queues are long is lack for staff and the reason for that is the one I gave

They do with the Guinness. But only the first pour. Which leaves you having the first half of the pint tasting half decent and the second half like somebody has had a shit in it.

they had a real ale bar open which had small queues as well but this was closed last game.

Yes, please get this back open it's the only passable pint they do.

They have machines at festivals where you just put the glasses underneath, press a button and they pour 8 pints in one go.

They're probably expensive to purchase but they would make their money back on them by managing to serve all the people that want a drink instead of people like me not bothering because I don't go down until the ref blows the whistle and don't want to down a pint in 2 minutes so I don't miss the second half.

Meant to ask..

… how’s being on the Supporters Forum working out m8 ?
The meeting was well attended, most of the items discussed were of relevance to the broad supporter base. The tavern is excellent. I think that the relationship between the groups and the club has never been stronger in terms of respect and engagement.
There’s a bit of sycophancy but not from the chair and vice chair. The notes are full and not always the sort of information that would ordinarily have been shared so easily in the past.

You can’t please everyone all the time and whilst there are limits to our influence I believe this is for the good of the club and supporters.

Not sure the terms of reference are as set as they should be. I’ve been surprised by how there are no no go areas and the Notes I’ve prepared are agreed with very few changes for public viewing

I’d also add this stuff has nothing to do with ongoing liaison with the owners of the club and wasps and other involvement with Andy Streets office regarding travel on bus and the train service.

I’m happy I don’t speak for this forum but I’m also happy that being a part of discussions on here has opened up a way for me to get involved and try and influence things and people to improve my enjoyment and love of my club so thank you for that. I hate accepting that things are out of my control or influence and I’m still sick of moaning into a void if there’s something I can do to change it

I love how all football fans are completely obsessed with these machines. Has anyone ever been to a stadium where they have them?
They aren't that uncommon and they're pretty old, and therefore relatively cheap, technology these days. There's a newer, faster, system that pours your pint in 5 seconds on the counter so the server doesn't even need to turn round and pick it up!

It appears that you’ve got to be comfortable with a barmaid fingering your rim m8

Perhaps its a tactic as the amount of pissed up twunts we already have would be greater if they could get served quicker!

Having talked about the ever-growing number of Season Ticket holders, it is vital to us that we as a Club look after you, the supporters. To that end, we are in the process of expanding our staff at the Club. We have recently employed Alistair Whelan as our Customer Relationships Manager and we are in the process of advertising and recruiting for a Supporter Services Officer. Alistair’s role will include increasing the volume of data-led communications to supporters to enhance your experience as a Sky Blues fan, and increasing our use of data across the business. We will continue to develop the Club off the field to support the growing fan base, at a sensible and sustainable pace.

Any chance Pete next forum you could have a word about traffic on the road outside casino-is it Jude’s lane or Rowleys Green rd? Going onto Jimmy Hills Way roadabout.

They used to hold traffic there for a good 30 mins after the end of the match allowing fans a safe passage across but it seems that no longer applies and literally letting traffic through before majority are out of the ground.

Absolutely treacherous crossing there now (esp numbers going to Dillions) and it doesn’t take a genius to see that someone will get runover if it continues.

No idea why they’ve suddenly allowed traffic to go a lot earlier but please could you ask forum (or Stadium Safety person) to go back to holding traffic a little longer.

You are correct don’t normally go that way and it was dodgy but isn’t it a police issue, Judds Lane and Rowleys Green Road certainly are.

It’s happened every home game so far this season.

Would appreciate it if you could talk to your connections with the club as defo best to be proactive on this issue rather than waiting for an accident to happen.
