Hi all,

My mate was the match day DJ for 9 years. Much like some of the squad who are not deemed good enough for the Premier League, the club decided to go with a production company this year, letting him go.

And his reward was a half price season ticket and loss of wages. As he has worked all of the home games for the last 9 years he's not even acquired any supporter points and when he requested 4 years of home points as a gesture, the club said no.

Whether your a fan of WLADITT or not, he gave us an anthem. I'm trying to help him fund his half price season ticket as I think the least the club could have done is give him a free one considering 5,000 were already given out for "free".

Anything you can contribute is much appreciated.

However, whilst sharing it, I was advised this was already arranged for him offline. Therefore I have closed the fundraiser and all funds are being refunded by gofundme

Thank him for the anthem. It’s so much better than most other clubs have, must be amazing to be a player hearing that at kick off.

Stu was brilliant, but did he attend away games before when he could or just want the points for the Prem? Otherwise standard season ticket is fine (agree should probably be free for a season). Other than that, loss of wages unfortunate, but he got paid to experience for better than free, what most of us paid for.

I know it's hyperbole to say, but he is the biggest Cov fan I've ever known. He has done all the away trips through the years. He has been with the club through thick and thin. I won't go into detail but the suggestion of him wanting points just because we're now Prem is laughable. He followed them as a fan from premier league to league 2. He helped play a small part in the rise, and got kicked to the curb when we made it back.

What I find most disappointing here is the half priced season ticket. It was inevitable a whole host of things would change as a result of getting to the Premier League. Some for the better in terms of our experience as fans, or as staff or volunteers at the club; and some for the worse. It's like a train leaving the station - there is no stopping it. But do the right and kindest thing CCFC. Here give this guy a season ticket and say thank you very much for all you've done. Don't appear penny pinching or unkind or disinterested in the impact of what you're doing/have to do.

I guess if they were volunteers then yeah a free ticket but if it was a job / freelance? It is obviously shit losing an income and being made redundant though but not sure about the stuff about asking for years of loyalty points etc.

The ST Fund is there for things like this as well which somebody has mentioned.

If it was Pat who has volunteered for years for the JSBs for example, I'd say she deffo deserves free season tickets.

Pat deserves a ST for life. Kept a family zone going, however meagre it was through some very dark times

Yes. I know no one has a job for life but don’t really think this was a problem area at all. Let’s see how much better it is with a generic production company then…
