Transfer Rumour Summer Transfer Window 2026 (17 Viewers)

I don't understand a lot of the posts on Tchaouna as to me he looks well clear of Sakamoto and i think a lot of it is down to what people imagine Sakamoto to be like in this league rather than the harsh reality.

The one thing i will go full @shmmeee on if we don't start seeing him soon is Cherif. That's so much money for us, it cannot simply be a development signing. Brighton, Brentford etc could do that without blinking but we need some contribution for the here and now for that money.

I’m actually more confident in Cherif coming good than I was Markelo. The Plymouth game gives me hope and we’ve got more of a squad that we don’t need to stick everyone on the bench and we’re doing worse and at the start of the season so less likely to throw someone on just to rest a player like we did with Markelo.

This will change if we don’t see him by mid September tho. It doesn’t take more than three weeks to get up to fitness unless there’s something seriously wrong.

Totally agree.

I watched the Hull game on TV as I was away and was thinking he was our only slightly threatening looking attacker. It was very strange to find him being the boo boy and made me question my reading of the game...

Well yes you would hope as he cost a fortune and seems to be well recognised in the broader football world as a talent. I want to be seeing some of that talent this season though, not just tearing up Charlton, Preston and co next season.

History shows us that first impressions on new players are not always correct ….

Big Vik took months to settle and only came good in season 2, Rushworth started shakily last season, EMC took 3 months to adjust the season before, MVE took 2 months the season before that.

Why we should judge our new recruits after just 2 matches or the ability of our better existing players to adjust after just 2 matches I have no idea ….

Is it judging to say we need a better LW Back up than BTA and some experience in midfield?

Same with Ayari

Does Mfuni improve us?

Because that is the level we are at with the available players at those clubs. He has played 9 first team games last season in Champ.
I work with a Watford fan and he ran over to me today to say how frustrated he was that cov had taken him away from them. He says hes brilliant going forwards and backwards and will play for England. He said he works hard and has a drive to win not hide. Says we will love him

I dont doubt that he may have talent, but is 9 games enough time to make this judgment call

The guy who scored against us on Saturday is signing for Birmingham. Couldn't make it up.

Head loss all over the place on here.

We all love Cov else we wouldn’t waste our lives on here. But we are where we are. We were never going to be able to compete financially.

We will likely go down and with the current squad we won’t embarrass ourselves.

However, a lot is now on Lampard to either appropriately tweak the tactics or completely switch formations. If no LW comes in, you have to think that may be the case - or he is going to completely go against last season and use Wright LW alongside Cherif when needed.

Cor, glad I read that! Feel far more positive😆

I've heard Palace will struggle for the next 6 weeks. Must be to do with injuries but didn't ask.

Villa have financial problems and have broke the Prem record for the amount of money brought in by selling players in one window. They're just 1 player off from breaking the all time record.

Villa have spent £300 million and expected to spend another £80 million today

Genuinely why were we never going to be able to compete with Hull financially? Or Ipswich for that matter?

Hull owner personal wealth is no greater than Kings and i would also think we were a much more attractive proposition for outside investment.

What have they done?
Signed a pre contract for him so they can loan him to Palace as Palace already have a Chelsea loan. So he is classed as a loan from Atalanta.
