Transfer Rumour Summer Transfer Window 2026 (29 Viewers)

Well surely we need 5 minimum?

LB, CM, CB, LW and striker.

We're 1 injury away from Bidwell, Eccles (or Torp), Kitching, BTA and Simms starting Premier League matches. Time will tell whether they are good enough but if we don't sign 5 we might soon find out.
Ignore him. Hes a troll

Torp will start games. He’s just signed a new contract.

Think we need a first choice LB (and before Arsenal). Then a first choice striker and some competitive options at LW and attacking mid. That’s the bare minimum- 4.

We need a CB LOL and a CM.

Clueless.

Torp will be a decent squad player potentially. But he went missing for almost half a season in the Championship last year. I don't want him starting regularly.

One CB injury from Kitching or Lati concerns me too.

Ax it stands we need 4, if Markelo goes we need 5

But that’s a perfect window and nothing in life is perfect. If we can add 4 more quality players it will have been a very good window.

What ever they plan to spend this season they will need to leave some for the January window ….

It does appear the cov way is to aim for stability and add significant quality

Can Thomas mve grimes saka emc simms wright Rudoni all step up to the level. If they can then the model may work and you don’t add 10 new players to the first team squad. Thats the cov way

If they can or most can do we think jds Kkh Eccles Bidwell Wilson and I think other than Kkh it’s unlikely

Other than saka in that first list all are valued at more than £10m

Forgot torp he’s on the first list

Hamer can fill the attacking and central mid roles

Is another CB a necessity? It’s a nice to have for me.
Have we signed Hamer?

It is when you are playing Kitching or Lati after 1 suspension or injury.

So far we have spent £8m on Onyeka, £17m on Amenda, £20m on Tchaouna and £22.5m on Rushworth totalling £67.5m .

How much of the promotion / PL money do we get up front? I suspect we are near the end of the first allocation and there won't be many more signings that we all hope for

He was hoping to drag this out so he wouldn’t have to go toe to toe with Josh Eccles, but Arteta has insisted he emerge from under his bed

Protracted move?!..... What sort of shoddy journalism is that? People here clearly state we are the only club whos transfer business takes more than a day.

We don’t have to wait for them to bank transfer us before we can spend lol

We won't be paying the entirety of those fees up front.

Almost every promoted club enters the first season in the premier league with a brilliant championship team not a proven Premier league team. Why people are surprised we might also be the same I have no idea. Do they not follow football normally ?? 🤔

The 2 outliers have been Forest who bought so many players that everyone created memes about it anx they looked likely to still go down. For most of the season and Sunderland who bought a tonne of unproven foreign players and did exceptionally well initially and then tailed off …..

There are no silver bullet transfer solutions.

We don’t need 6 more players 😂

As I said in another thread, we are going into the Premier League with a good Championship team that is unproven at the next level. I don't know if we sign another two or another six, but if we want to have a realistic chance to stay up, we need some additions that are of high quality. Closer to six would be better, even if it is four or five.

It's not about not knowing football, it is about taking off the rose tinted glasses and understanding the jump in quality, and the concept that we will be facing relegation without the right transfer business. Some on this forum might be ok with that, but I desperately want us to stay up.

Sunderland tailed off??

They literally qualified for Europe you simpleton

LB, Striker & Onyeka cover is priority in my opinion. Another CB, LW & experienced GK would be welcomed, but I would imagine these are dictated by who we can sell in the next few weeks. If the Gus deal does happen I would be interested to see where Frank see's his best position.

Reality is we’ve spent about £15m for accounting purposes for this season so far and got head room to £60/70m maybe.

Ooh touchy.

To make it easy for you. I said they were an outlier.

First third (matches 1–13): 22 points — 6W 4D 3L
Middle third (matches 14–26): 14 points — 3W 5D 5L
Final third (matches 27–38): 18 points — 5W 3D 4L

Their form did get worse after a very strong start ….

My overarching point remains true, most promoted teams don’t have proven Premier league teams, which you ignore because it doesn’t suit your negative agenda driven posts.

I can’t see us going over £30/35m this summer.

Which in public fees means we’re likely to spend another £50/60m.

(Guesstimate)

50m i think was said, but thats irrelevant because we won't have paid the above up front, and Tcaouna and Amenda have performance related additions to make these totals.

We are not paying £57.5m out in one go

What a stupid post, mainstay players from a promotion season unable to start a premier league match according to you

Rangers have signed a winger from Hannover 96, I wonder if this cools their interest in Markelo.

If that’s all we’ve got dropping what we have on who we have starts to look a little negligent. £20m on Tchaouna when we’re spending £120m is one thing. Doing it when we’re spending £60m is something else. Probably the same for £22.5m on Rushworth if we’re honest as much as we all love him.

People say we aren’t doing a Sunderland but they only spend over £20m what 2 or 3 times in that spree?

To be fair he is gash and their utterly lopsided squad means they still need more wingers in their squad

I sincerely hope none of our players come on this forum. Some of the shit like this that gets posted, mocking a homegrown midfielder who played a part in getting us to where we are.
Some of you can be absolute wankers at times.
