Keeper would help I’ve got no doubt, yet team has 10 other plays to get past before. Can’t look at it in isolation completely, team close down etc etc there’s lack of shots. We’ve been bailed out by Rushworth plenty of times which I’m glad of, yet doesn’t always translate that way
True, true.
But I do wonder how they'd be doing if they still had man city's bench warmer

Can't see anyone other than a newly promoted club taking the risk on a completely unproven keeper at that level. Could see him getting a permanent move and then going out on loan for a season to test him out.

5 big signings, and a couple of highly regarded younger players (CM and a winger) to develop.

1) Carl Rushworth or a Top Keeper.
2) Centre Back
3) LB
4) AM / No.10
5) CF

Assuming Bassette, Wilson, Allen & Bidwell will be off. Rodrigues & Brau possibly too unless they get a 1 year loan deal

One of our 4 CBs will go (Woolf most likely) and I wouldn't be surpirsed to see one of BTA, Simms or Wright to move on, to make room for the new CF signing.

Sakamoto, EMC, Markelo & a young promising new winger to compete for the wide positions.

I reckon that's a decent assessment, definitely need another winger, I'd pump some money there.

I also imagine Wilson will stick around as 3rd choice keeper, he seems a big part of squad dynamics no point rocking the boat and spending money there. Dovin really needs a loan so we'll still need 2 keepers minimum

If he’s available for £15m I’d snap their hand off. He is a premier league goal keeper.
That'd be a huge chunk of our likely budget though. With infinite money then sure you just buy Rushworth and pay him £50k a week but King keeps saying the we don't have that kind of money to throw around. Being hyper-critical we saw the nerves creeping back into Rushworth's game at the end of the season (as at the start) and this is what I mean about a proven PL player.

What proven PL keeper are you getting for less?

PL or top european league will do, even a loan. If we/when stay up we could address the keeper position kowing how Dovin's injury is progressing. There's probably a number of options.

A loan won’t be free either. Far more financial sense to sign a young player who is likely to increase in value tbh.

A loan won't cost £15m+ plus wages either. You need big money to make that kind of investment and to tie yourself to long contracts

A loan won’t get you anything back at the end of the season if you’re relegated. Rushworth will probably turn you a profit.

If 15m is a huge chunk of our budget we’re going down lol

Man City were ready to have Trafford as their #1 before the last minute Donnarumma deal.

Clubs would take Rushworth no doubt. If we have any chance of signing him at a reasonable price we take it.

I did read on one of the Brighton sites, although cannot find the thread now, but they mentioned it would be £15million plus 20% profit on future sales. It was on one thread that was talking about Viktor and how we had 'robbed' them with the agreement for him.
