Jonathan Rowe looked good from what I’ve seen in the 2 games against Villa for Bologna. Wonder if he would fancy a return to England.
Does look like a prospect but I think he is possibly a bit tapped!:

On 19 August 2025, Marseille announced that they had transfer-listed Rowe and team-mate Adrien Rabiot due to what they called "unacceptable behaviour" in the dressing room after a 1–0 away defeat to Stade Rennais. Manager, Roberto De Zerbi, said “it was a bar fight, in front of the sporting director, in front of the coach” and that “no teeth were broken during the fight, but it was a fight like I've never seen in all my years in football” and added the ferocity of the confrontation shocked those present.[18]

Rabiot’s a tosser though.

Hes good player, but think he would go to someone like a Brentford above us.

Come to think of it maybe his baggage might be in our favour. Might put others off?

Not necessarily Rowe but I guess one way we could secure some higher quality players is to take more risk on players with a bit of baggage, not great injury records or off the back of a disappointing season.

Leeds took a gamble on DCL and he's been just what they needed

Absolutely not a rumour and don’t know know of he would cut it in the premier league ( that sounds good doesn’t it ) but OHashi from Blackburn looked a real handful last night

What about Lucas Beraldo of PSG? CB and LB only 22, PSG have agreed he can move as he’s not getting as much game time as he’d like . Behind Pacho etc. in squad. Probably would cost £20-25m, but it’s thought a loan deal could be struck. Not a rumour, just a thought when I saw him come on as sub last week.
We’re probably not a high enough profile club, but if he wants to showcase in the Prem a year loan could work for all concerned??

Rushy next and then Hackney
Hackney is going to be pricey and is he really good enough? I'm not convinced it works as a cost/benefit tbh.

Wolves are set to let Tolu Arokadare go after he started a scrap with that Mane lad.

He would suit our crossing style.

He’s a decent source. Broke CR joining us in summer.

Concern here is we get outbid. We’ve got to be slightly careful with money, a 10-12 million deal with loaded incentives / sell on would be ideal. A king special.

We're signing Christiano Ronaldo in the summer?

Would genuinely spend up to £20m on Rushworth. He’s integrated, only going to increase in value, easily up to the quality we need and probably worth several points alone over a season. £20m on him £20m on a striker like Denkey and some experience at CB and CM and we’re a long way to where we need to be.

The more I listen to Doug I think he would pay the money. He talks of value, and spending money if necessary.

I think if he feels it’s worth it - we’ll spend 20m on a player.

If its a choice for him to make between us and another club or 2, I think we win.
If its a bidding war between us and another club or 2, I think we miss out.

rush has brought a house locally from what I was told, could mean nothing as it makes him central or could be great news.....or could be an investment buy

The club want him, he wants to stay …. It’s now about the money ( fee and package ) … it could get too rich for us, we all hope not.
