True, true.Keeper would help I’ve got no doubt, yet team has 10 other plays to get past before. Can’t look at it in isolation completely, team close down etc etc there’s lack of shots. We’ve been bailed out by Rushworth plenty of times which I’m glad of, yet doesn’t always translate that way
5 big signings, and a couple of highly regarded younger players (CM and a winger) to develop.
1) Carl Rushworth or a Top Keeper.
2) Centre Back
3) LB
4) AM / No.10
5) CF
Assuming Bassette, Wilson, Allen & Bidwell will be off. Rodrigues & Brau possibly too unless they get a 1 year loan deal
One of our 4 CBs will go (Woolf most likely) and I wouldn't be surpirsed to see one of BTA, Simms or Wright to move on, to make room for the new CF signing.
Sakamoto, EMC, Markelo & a young promising new winger to compete for the wide positions.
He will be worth a fortune in 24 monthsCan’t believe people are turning their nose up, anything below £20m id snap Brighton’s hand off.
Exactly, 0 chance we don’t at least get our money backHe will be worth a fortune in 24 months
That'd be a huge chunk of our likely budget though. With infinite money then sure you just buy Rushworth and pay him £50k a week but King keeps saying the we don't have that kind of money to throw around. Being hyper-critical we saw the nerves creeping back into Rushworth's game at the end of the season (as at the start) and this is what I mean about a proven PL player. If he’s available for £15m I’d snap their hand off. He is a premier league goal keeper.

PL or top european league will do, even a loan. If we/when stay up we could address the keeper position knowing how Dovin's injury is progressing. There's probably a number of options. What proven PL keeper are you getting for less?

A loan won't cost £15m+ plus wages either. You need big money to make that kind of investment and to tie yourself to long contractsA loan won’t be free either. Far more financial sense to sign a young player who is likely to increase in value tbh.

Probably not in a fire sale when we can't pay the wage billA loan won’t get you anything back at the end of the season if you’re relegated. Rushworth will probably turn you a profit.

How about the best GK and possibly the best player in the 7th best league in Europe?PL or top european league will do, even a loan. If we/when stay up we could address the keeper position knowing how Dovin's injury is progressing. There's probably a number of options.

Not imo. Think Doug/Frank etc will have been sitting down discussing next steps. Unlikely they'll divulge much yet. Looking forward to the rumour madness ahead! Is it worrying we aren't hearing much yet
I'm not against signing him, all the mood music coming from from King suggests that we won'tHe absolutely would. Did he fuck your missus or something? Why so against signing him?
I'm thinking £50m and that's absolute tops. The wage bill will double too and we'll need to put £10m into the ground for the tv.If 15m is a huge chunk of our budget we’re going down lol
Man City were ready to have Trafford as their #1 before the last minute Donnarumma deal. Can't see anyone other than a newly promoted club taking the risk on a completely unproven keeper at that level. Could see him getting a permanent move and then going out on loan for a season to test him out.
£10m on what ffs.I'm thinking £50m and that's absolute tops. The wage bill will double too and we'll need to put £10m into the ground for the tv.
What are you basing this on? We spent close to that the season after the play off final.I'm thinking £50m and that's absolute tops. The wage bill will double too and we'll need to put £10m into the ground for the tv.
50m absolute tops, Christ, Derby’s record will be under threatI'm thinking £50m and that's absolute tops. The wage bill will double too and we'll need to put £10m into the ground for the tv.
Transfer window doesn’t open until 15th June so you’ve got quite a while before you’ll hear anything!!!Is it worrying we aren't hearing much yet
Not really. Brau was confirmed in May last yearTransfer window doesn’t open until 15th June so you’ve got quite a while before you’ll hear anything!!!
Chill out Doug's got the recruitment team to divert their attention to sourcing Skyblue glasses and water pistols on temu this week. Not really. Brau was confirmed in May last year
Have a word with yourself. Burnley spent over £111 million. Admittedly they didn't spend it wisely which is why they are now screwed but there's no chance we only spend less than half that.I'm thinking £50m and that's absolute tops. The wage bill will double too and we'll need to put £10m into the ground for the tv.
