Not a question for me I appreciate, but £5-6m. The good news is that it’ll be carded as a profit - his initial fee of (let’s call it) £5m will have now amortised to £1.25m. Even if you account for the full promotion bolt-on of £3m, it still squeaks a profit.

The more important thing over and above this is cash flow. We’ll want to bring ‘a’ fee in given he can leave on a free in 12 months. I don’t think we’ll be holding out for profit on £8m - his purpose has been served.

He's served his purpose to back up Wright and score some important goals in that patch in the middle of the season. I really don't think the club is going to worry about things like 'making a loss' on a player in that situation now we are over £100 million up in Prem money. They'll want to get as much as they can as with any player but if they 'lose' a couple of mil on a player with 1 year left i don't think they'll be crying themselves to sleep.

As above, basically anything in excess of a £4.25m sale is profit.

I get what your saying however there is a Wrexham and a Birmingham which will probably be looking for a CF, so we can probably get £25m from them
But on a serious note if 6m was all we were getting for him I’d rather keep him around as 3rd choice 6m doesnt get you much in the grand scheme of things

Well its not the case we would spend £6m on his replacement. it may be £6m towards a £12m signing.

I didnt say we were. However we are bound by PSR not revenue so should we adopt your policy we would breach it a lot quicker than if we actually do it by the rules.

Well, I’ve read that we’d get around £120m for going up in tv rights. I have no idea what we’ll get in sponsorship or player sales, but we’re near capacity on ticket sales already and still in negative operating costs.

The club is in debt to the tune of (£50m) for which interest burdens come due next year. Operating loss 24/25 was (£21.5m), I expect higher this season.
Expected increase in operating costs moving to the Premiership for 26/27 is (£40m). Refurbishment for broadcast requirements is (£8m) according to BBC / Sky Sports.

I get that this sounds negative and not spending to stay up. So all I ask when you fry this post, say what you will BUT communicate how much you would budget for new players AND how much debt you’d let the club carry forward into 2027.

thats more an anomoly rather than a high chance.... If spurs stay up they won't be bottom 6 next season. If anyone thinks we'll be spending bare minimum in the Premier League then we might aswell give up now.

We're getting around 200m over 2 seasons, this is before any commercial increases that we get as a result of being a premier league team.

You've also got to factor in that we'd likely lose Lampard via lack of ambition, then you'll end up with a manager whos only in it for the money.... alongside the wrong sort of player joining. Good players and managers expect ambition

Technically it'll suit him but the intensity and pressing really won't.

I remember people saying in L1 players would have more time on the ball in the champ and it never happened. Still got PTSD from I think a Bournemouth game early on where it was like boys vs men. I fully expect the PL to be like that again.

You need 8 in the squad. We have 9 who aren’t homegrown at the minute IIRC and that includes Bassette Brau and Raphael so not a worry really.
