Its not about losses or profits at this stage, its about generating funds for the Premier League. So you think we’ll make a loss?

How much do you think then Sparky, one of the best scoring rates in the division this season, a physical forward, English tax, and a promotion on his CV? Also I repeat we wouldnt want to take a loss on him
Well it kind of is. Premier league works on PSR which means finances are worked out by profits made on players not how much is received. Its not about losses or profits at this stage, its about generating funds for the Premier League.
LOL we arent gonna break PSR are we. What a ridiculous commentWell it kind of is. Premier league works on PSR which means finances are worked out by profits made on players not how much is received.
He's served his purpose to back up Wright and score some important goals in that patch in the middle of the season. I really don't think the club is going to worry about things like 'making a loss' on a player in that situation now we are over £100 million up in Prem money. They'll want to get as much as they can as with any player but if they 'lose' a couple of mil on a player with 1 year left i don't think they'll be crying themselves to sleep. How much do you think then Sparky, one of the best scoring rates in the division this season, a physical forward, English tax, and a promotion on his CV? I get what your saying however there is a Wrexham and a Birmingham which will probably be looking for a CF, so we can probably get £25m from themIts not about losses or profits at this stage, its about generating funds for the Premier League.
Well its not the case we would spend £6m on his replacement. it may be £6m towards a £12m signing.I get what your saying however there is a Wrexham and a Birmingham which will probably be looking for a CF, so we can probably get £25m from them
But on a serious note if 6m was all we were getting for him I’d rather keep him around as 3rd choice 6m doesnt get you much in the grand scheme of things
Of course we wont but long term if we stay in the Prem it will all add up eventually and I guess for me its more of a case I dont want to see us fucked over by finance againLOL we arent gonna break PSR are we. What a ridiculous comment
Yeah I suppose its a small additave, maybe it could pay for a free agent like Webster with his Sign on bonus and wagesWell its not the case we would spend £6m on his replacement. it may be £6m towards a £12m signing.
I didnt say we were. However we are bound by PSR not revenue so should we adopt your policy we would breach it a lot quicker than if we actually do it by the rules.LOL we arent gonna break PSR are we. What a ridiculous comment
And Spurs level spending can get you Luton outcomes.
thats more an anomoly rather than a high chance.... If spurs stay up they won't be bottom 6 next season. If anyone thinks we'll be spending bare minimum in the Premier League then we might aswell give up now.Well, I’ve read that we’d get around £120m for going up in tv rights. I have no idea what we’ll get in sponsorship or player sales, but we’re near capacity on ticket sales already and still in negative operating costs.
The club is in debt to the tune of (£50m) for which interest burdens come due next year. Operating loss 24/25 was (£21.5m), I expect higher this season.
Expected increase in operating costs moving to the Premiership for 26/27 is (£40m). Refurbishment for broadcast requirements is (£8m) according to BBC / Sky Sports.
Budget for new players: £35m + player sales AND a debt free club (for a short while) or…?
I get that this sounds negative and not spending to stay up. So all I ask when you fry this post, say what you will BUT communicate how much you would budget for new players AND how much debt you’d let the club carry forward into 2027.
I disagree.I don't think Torp will be sold. I think he might flourish in the Prem.
But you can have more than that if they're U21 and homegrown etc. can't you?You can only name a 25 man squad.
I disagree.
Technically it'll suit him but the intensity and pressing really won't.
