I hope this means we can finally start dressing the place up a bit more, starting with removing the Frasers on the seats!

Fuckin' hell...that's come out of the blue.
How was this kept secret ?
It's amazing news, but so incredibly unexpected.
Have to say...Doug has played a blinder, and even his staunchest critic must now admit, that so far, he's been a magnificent custodian of our club.
Best Deal Ever.

Someone go to Dubai and shoot Cov shirts out a t shirt cannon towards all the mega yatchs on the marina.

Time for us to find our sugar daddy.

Couldn't believe it when I read it. Absolutely out of nowhere and is brilliant news. Best signing of the summer.

This could well be THE pivotal moment.

Completely stunned by this news and echo most of the sentiments on here. The positivity this will generate among City fan base across the globe will be immeasurable. Sad for the fans who are no longer with us and missed out on this momentous occasion.
Fitting the announcement comes 20 year after the stadium opened against QPR and the same result would be superb. Credit to the chairman - I imagine his song will be sung with much pride even among the sceptics. PUSB

Lad just visited and said have you heard on Facebook. I said bollocks and checked here!

Incredible news, well done Doug. For the first time EVER we actually own this 33k beast. What a birthday present for the CBS. Let's have a real party, celebrate with songs and emulate the first result against QPR.

It'll be TUPE law protected so the general staff can transfer over to the new owners on the same wages and terms
I would have thought the arena operating company will remain and CovCityCo will be the parent, similar to the set up with CCFC Ltd.

So no need for TUPE as it would just be an continuation.

I wonder if in time the anecdote could become more of a traditional boozer? Feels too posh for me at the minute and maybe not many people use it if it became a standard pub?

Or maybe it's heaving every match day and I'm way off the mark I dunno
