Wonder if King will look to get the complex making a profit or possibly offer components out on a lease or separate entities? Will it be held under a separate company so any losses aren’t a drag on the club?

best case scenario is he gets it making money. A great day regardless

I guess it just means the staff will now transfer over? Don't know how it worked before if they worked for frasers.
It'll be TUPE law protected so the general staff can transfer over to the new owners on the same wages and terms

Buzzing. I’d love to know the details in the purchase though. Just thinking out loud

Is the stadium ownership under Doug or the football club or both?
How much did we pay?
How does he plan to service the debt of paying
Is his next step is to sell
What about maintenance? Didn’t we see the CBS costs about millions a year to keep maintained?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m buzzing but I’d love to know but maybe we’ll never know this.

I’m convinced the moves to sell the club began when that woman from PSG came in. This was the final piece of the puzzle.

Doug will net close to 100m if not over with this transaction

Also crossed my mind, he's joined the club and the ground under one, making a tasty little sell-able package

George & John stand, Jimmy Hill Stand, Mark Robins Stand ... and leave room for Frank :)
One of the stands would have to be the Tommy Hutchison Stand.
It will be great to see the whole stadium branded with Coventry City stuff in the way that other clubs have done, both inside and outside. Much improved over the last couple of years but can be made into even more ‘ours’

Biggest signing of the window!!

Maybe this explains why we haven’t been more active in the transfer window. If so, fair bloody play. Securing our long term future and no more groundshares or being kicked out of our own ground, is far more important than another centre forward.

The atmosphere will be unbelievable today. A historic day.

Whole I don't disagree with this, it's still a far preferable position to wondering where we goi g to be playing every few years and having the spector of playing outside the city looming over us again.

Nor everyone will agree, but if the cost of the maintenance and plugging financial gaps is decreasing the playing budget or selling a player I'll take it any day of the week to have our own ground.
In fairness, these are only ‘poor club’ problems you’ll see at the bottom of the championship, L1 and L2… which we all got to experience!

In the Prem, it’s a different ball game so hopefully we get to the Prem and establish ourselves sooner rather than later.

It says in the statement. CovCityCo have bought the stadium which is the same vehicle that owns the club, of which Doug King is the sole share holder so far as we know.

Haven't read through the thread, but massively improves our chance of selling the club to people with deeper pockets, or securing investors. Also allows us to increase income streams, and allows us to spend more/compete financially. That in itself makes it a massive turning point in achieving our potential. Great day in the club's history. Well done DK.

I always felt the biggest thing to hold us back from success was going to be the lack of stadium ownership and not having the revenue streams we need. This is a complete game changer and I’m more confident than ever we can build this club back to the Premiership. This is more important than anything for us this season. Monumental in fact.
