Spurs Ratings (24 Viewers)

Rushworth and Grimes shocking
Mve should be dropped as well.
Every sub terrible. Made us worse
Saka just doesn't work away from home, BTA gives us pace and energy and a great work rate, but fuck me is his control shite.
Yirenkyi is a great young talent, but needs resting for a couple of games.

Just cant believe that Torp isnt getting game time.

Subs not good

Simms and Torp being treated poorly fuck knows what is happening with French lad, I’d like to see Hamer in grimes position

The subs made us worse. Too disappointed to do all of the player ratings so here’s some of the lowlights.

MVE - 3. A liability again. Soft bastard for the second goal and a foul he was never going to get. Mfuni must be furious.

Awonyi - 4. Didn’t cost us the game but made us impotent up front. Played like a Skydome bouncer, wearing steel toe cap boots.

EMC - 5. Like a bridesmaid on a hen do in Blackpool, couldn’t cross his legs never mind a football.

There is absolutely no way Hamer can play in central midfield in his current condition. And it is embarrassing that he hasn't got himself into shape still two months into the season.

EMC did put a very decent cross in that Awoniyi was too slow to react to

Pinnock very good. Rudoni often good. Thomas pretty good. Sakamoto dangerous but not involved enough. Cherif good but very raw; it went to pot after he went off, though.

Rest poor to meh. Yirenkyi looks like the pace has taken him by surprise, but I don't doubt he'll come very good.

Rushworth 4 - cost us the game tbh, I got slated for criticising him last week, so expect a backlash for this

MvE 5 - just doesn't give me any confidence at the moment, needed to be stronger for the 2nd

Thomas - 7 pretty steady and solid

Pinnock - 8 good tonight, air of confidence when he plays. Despite 3 goals against, none down to him really or Thomas

Da Silva - 6 outdone for pace, but comfortable on the ball

Grimes - 6 I thought he was pretty solid tonight

Yirenkyi 5.5 Early yellow, means he is on the back foot

BTA - 6.5 limited in ability at this level, but is a great reader of the game, involved in the goal, reads the game well and is fully fit

Rudoni - 7 not as good as last week, but still good. PL level, no doubt about it

Sakamoto 6.5 good first half, but less impact in 2nd half

Cherif 7 - a handful, first choice striker at the moment

Subs
Hamer 6 - one great crossfield ball, but then gave it away too much

EMC 7 - one of the big positives, looked like a proper quality player again

Onyeka 5 - puts himself about, but just not good enough on the ball

Awonyi 5 - ineffective, runs incredibly awkwardly. Should have got his head on EMCs cross

KHH N/A. Odd sub, should have brought Simms on at this stage

Yirenkyi was fine for me. But the stupid yellows mean he’s always walking a tightrope. He’s some player though.

I feel he'll do something good, win the ball well or something, but then give it away cheaply, often because he thinks he's more time than he has. His pass to Grimes just before his booking case in point.

Rushworth - 0 - at fault for 2 goals - an incredibly big worry.
MvE - 2 - another stinker - not sure what’s going on with him.
Thomas - 6 - solid
Pinnock - 6 - solid
JDS - 5 - first game this season where it’s felt like he’s struggled a bit - couldn’t deal with the speed of Kudus
Grimes - 6 - fine, played some nice stuff
Yirenkyi - 6 - lively, great work for our goal - the drop off when Onyeka came on was noticeable
Sakamoto - 5 - looked lively first 15 but then struggled to get involved - not a prem starter quality - especially away from home
Rudoni - 7 - making me eat my words a bit - one of the few that plays like he believes he’s a prem player
BTA - 4 - works hard but good lord he’s a mid table champ player. Takes 18 years to release the ball and kills any counter opportunity we get.
Cherif - 6 - worked hard, not much to work with

Subs:
Onyeka - 4 - looked considerably less controlled when he came on
Hamer - 4 - I was happy with the signing but the fat lad was blowing after 10 minutes. Great set pieces but don’t think he’s at the level sadly
EMC - 5 - tried but seems to be lacking confidence at the moment. One of a few who seem a bit rabbit in the headlights whenever they get the ball
KKH - N/A - good to see him back

Lampard - 3 - thought the setup was wrong and we’d have caused them a lot more issues if we’d gone for similar to how we setup away at Man City. Need him to get over it with Gboho and Tchaouna because we’re desperately lacking creative flair up top and the lack of depth really showed today.

Rushworth not been good so far looks very suspect.
Milan to passive needs to be more aggressive if he is going to make it as a prem player.

Team tonight looked like they didn't believe we could win. Way to passive looked liked the 1st few games tonight.

Not many positives, BTA and Rudoni have definitely stepped up. EMC looked better but nothing much else, but that said just got to keep going. And keep a trying to pick up points. Im not to down or about to slag the team off. Just cht out the individual errors and we will compete

I thought Milan cracked it last week.

Went backwards again.

The KKH sub felt like 2 fingers to Loum & Gboho... this should be you.

Maybe it's also a warning for Milan too.

Can’t remember a more frustrating performance. Worst of the season for me. Spurs were awful.

Rushworth 4 - Bad error for 3rd, and should of kept out the 2nd
MVE - 5 - should have had the free kick for the elbow but don’t go down man. Always reluctant to push forward
Thomas - 6
Piinnick - 7 MOM
Dasilva - 6
Grimes - 4 - What’s the point If we don’t have the ball .
Yirrenkyi - 6 - some naive play but had energy and his burst made our goal
BTA - 6 - battled well but out of position and it showed. Why is he starting at LW when we have EMC and Gboho?
Saka - 7 Did well
Rudoni - 7 Best attacking player although he overplayed too much at times
Cherif - 5 Quiet. Some good moments but we had a lot of breaks especially first half and he didn’t offer much

Subs
EMC - 6 looked alright.
Awonwyi 4 - poor. Simms would have biiried that cross from Dasilva late on
Hamer - 7. - Should have been on earlier
Oneyka - 5 - Some errors, but battled. Should have started over Grimes

Rushworth - 5 - feel like he could of done better with the 2nd and 3rd goal, considering he only conceded 1 in the last 2 he looks like he doesn’t back himself

MVE - 5 after a couple decent games look devoid of ideas again today

Thomas 7
Pinnock 7 thought they were both solid

JDS - 6 - was ok

Yirenki & Grimes - 5 - overran in there

Rudoni - 8 - thought he was brilliant for the most part

BTA - 6.5 - runs and runs and runs, feel like he’s improved probably not quite up to standard but always leaves everything on the pitch

Sakamoto - 5 - not sure he’s good enough to start, really like him but game sort of passes him by

Cherif - 6.5 - raw but I do see something in him, did ok

Subs - I thought Awonyi looked like he had cement in his boots, the header where it’s gone about 50 yards in the air. EMC barely involved, Hamer gave the ball away more times than not

I thought we were competitive for the most part, we’re gonna be up against it in every game, but I do feel like we are not just taking part and have got a good chance of staying up

Subs weakened us. Whatever’s happened with the French lads needs sorting out.

Would have been good options today.

Positives Pinnock and Thomas look a real partnership
Cherif is our starting number 9 for me
Rudoni looks comfortable at this level
Yerenkyi shows promise
EMC looked better off the bench

Negatives
Rushworth , MvE and DaSilva were honking
Central midfield lacks energy
Awonyi poor off the bench

Rushworth 4
MVE 5
Thomas 8
Pinnock 7
Dasilva 6
Grimes 5
Yirenkyi 7
Sakamoto 6
Rudoni 8
BTA 7
Cherif 7

Subs made us worse. Onyeka did ok and EMC put in a great cross but the others were rubbish.
Hamer first touch was a great cross...pinpoint!
