"I can't fault the lads today.. The way they held on for a point after being 2-0 up against ten men was just superb"

So like for like with the subs, not tactical?.
I would have thought he probably thought there was no way back so made subs.....I still wouldn't have done it, especially straight after 2nd goal.
But no reason why they couldn't have kept lead with the changes he made

Had he changed it tactically and gone defensive, it may have meant Webster coming on. Not sure which result would have been worse.....

Come on CITY. Real chance of us going on and getting a point now!

This post came at 0-0 after the red card. Sarcastic or not, you were right, great foresight!

SP says

Emotions - disappointment

75 mins brilliant away performance

Dominated, sending off turning point

Until 75 mins passed well created opportunities
Perfect performance

After first goal didn't show enough composure

Nervousness set in along with inexperience and younger players on pitch

Need to have right mentality in future
Effort and work ethic incredible

Feel for players as have given club everything

Ironic thing before the game 2-2 result would be good result

Result nothing to do with attitude. To do with inexperience

Gave a very good performance

Several things get overshadowed by short period

**Goes on to list players ages who finished the game**

Extremely proud mentioned again

So many positives to take away

Move onto next game

He has seen a real change of way we go in a game

Wants to see us play

Seems lots again today

Not proud we didn't win, disappointed. If asking if I'm proud of my players, absolutely

Tudgay typified the performance

Lack of mentality at crucial moments

No arguments over red card

Injury from it lead to Barton going off

Stokes cramped up

Aware of Lukes yellow card

Disappointing thing we did so many things right but didn't see the result out

Played against Sheff United squad full of confidence in front of home fans

They showed a good mentality at home

Stokes aquitted himself very well / brilliantly

Still not made a decision Jamie Jones.

When mentioned by Geoff 'Westwood sent off for Wednesday today' his reply was 'oh, was he?'

Just how stupidly close is this division? 7 points between 6th and 19th; by comparion, it's 20 points in the Championship, 17 in L2 and 21 in the Conference.

Pressley has admitted it was his fault. The reason we collapsed was inexperience according to him, he used Finch, Haynes and Thomas as examples all the subs he brought on

And 5 points from us in 21st to 19th place. It could be all over in a few weeks. But we still have some looking for excuses on behalf of SP.

So the reason we lost is that we have kids on the bench.
The so-called academy model Fisher and them want is working well then.
Next season will be fun....
Wonder whose fault this is?

What about the experienced players on the bench?

Thanks for posting those, at least he didn't use the "It's hard/harder to play against 10 men excuse". Just waiting for the RFC comments on the game now. I'm all for supporting Elvis and the lads but they have to do better than only getting a point against 10 men having been 2-0 up.

I'll definitely be watching the football league show tonight.

Yeah he did. Seems a strange thing to say when you've played against 10 men for 70+ mins, and been 2-0 up with 45 mins (inc injury time) to go. It's not as if we had to spend 70+ minutes trying to break them down, we managed in the first 15 minutes.

If it was harder to play against 10 men it would beg the question why teams haven' used this as a tactic more often

No, I think with all the yellow cards flying around he pulled off someone with a yellow. I must admit I might have done the same as I was sure we would get someone red-carded making it 10 vs 10 which would probably have led to them winning.

doyles 1st goal in 11 months,

typical

And none of that "not celebrating against my old club" stuff from him, eh? I hope none of our fans clapped him. Torch wouldn't be happy :)

Players should celebrate when they score really, it's getting a bit phony when they're all putting a lid on it. So long as you're not doing an Adebayor and running the length of the pitch to piss on away fans, enjoy your goal!
