100% behind Dabo and the kick it out campaign but calling people insults because they have a different view to you, or where they live in the UK or what news channel they watch is just as blatant

If anyone is caught booing the knee they should get life time bans. We need a hardline stance on this. Also anyone that watches GB News needs to boil their head. Absolute helmets

Taking a knee - too Marxist
Raising a fist - too much like Black Power
Sitting out the national anthem - too disrespectful

There is always, always an excuse to be made by people who just don’t think this is a problem worth caring about and don’t want the inconvenience of having to even think about it for three seconds.

Sure, you can listen to Gary Rowett and the Millwall fans, keep dialling it back and dialling it back until it’s so unobtrusive and inoffensive that it won’t even register with those who might complain. But how much of a difference is that going to make?

We need to stop thinking about anti-racism protests in terms of how inoffensive and polite they can be, and more about how we can tackle these pricks head on. People need to toughen up and accept that some people aren’t going to enjoy being confronted with the reality of the situation for people like Fankaty Dabo.

But I totaly agree about the SBA showing support for Dabo, maybe a huge chant prior to kick off for example, that would be great to hear.

"Racism at its worst" but racism is racism and the problem with having a sliding scale of severity suggests some of it is okay or acceptable. It is why people and I include myself in this dont always spot it. Because it is so ingrained in the fabric of society it has been normalised.

I have been opposed to racism since the mid 1970's. But even today by reading about it I am still learning about it. I dont have a problem with players showing solidarity by taking the knee or the FA adopting slogans like "Kick It Out" but there needs to be more education about what racism is and the subtle forms it can take.

I was very lucky. I am part of the older generation and grew up as a kid in the late sixties and early seventies and two of my best friends were a guy called Sunil Nand, who was Fijian and Leroy Smith, who was of afro-carribbean descent.

I learnt from a very young age to just treat people as people. All individuals.

Racism is a complete nonsense and makes zero sense.

Presumably Sunil was your gateway to being tolerant of differences. (i'll get me coat).

We of an older age have seen racism at it's worse
What I am encouraged by is the younger generation are becoming more and more less tolerant of any form of discrimination
That's the only way it's going to stop , these youngsters educate their kids the right way , that it's disgusting.
We never had that
It's a slow process and probably won't happen in my lifetime but with this youth there's a chance

I agree all apart from one thing- the "racism at its worst" point.

Its got to the point now where it should be seen as racism full stop. There is no (and nor should there be) some kind of sliding scale, as that just gives idiots an out.

someone should highlight that to Gary Rowett and ask him if he still thinks it’s the knee that’s causing problems

Does anyone seriously still believe this horseshit that lads earning 10k a week are taking a knee for `Marxism' !?

Come on, do me a favour

Our players will make a brief 5 second gesture in support of their teammate on Sat and they deserve 100% backing

A majority of footballers have probably never even heard of Marxism. They don’t cover Marx as far as I know in schools so unless you have took it upon yourself to educate yourself about Marxism, the chances are you don’t know much if anything about it

I think footballers are a bit more well educated than they used to be, however most would probably still think Marx was a new way of defending corners

As did I with a single black mother 16, Hillfields, struggled to eat.. Did you get racist abuse as a child or told your mum wasn’t your mum or have a cousin killed because of the colour of his skin?

Fuck yourself.

And it’s not even about how hard life was growing up or how little you had you spastic.

Well your showing your true side now using a derogatory word about a disability. Clearly its all about you and if people dont agree with your one sided hatred its ok to be abusive and commit hate crime. Take a look in the mirror and get the chip off your shoulder as you are coming accross as bad as those that use racist abuse. As i said before there are idiots on both sides of the fence
