I think our attacking choices will surprise quite a few this season, especially Cherif, with his pace and strength

Players dont always settle straight away at a new club, maybe that frankly ludicrous transfer fee, which isnt his fault, is hanging heavy round his neck.
Whilst our players are a waste of money if they don't hit the ground running.

We can only have it one way.

Delaps still young. As someone above said there will be people saying gyokores is shite because in barren form. We know that ain't true however. Think delap will come good albeit maybe his time at top 4 clubs is over can still have a good prem career

Eh? Im not sure the majority jump on new players if they dont perform, certainly some do, but I don't think its the majority, far from it
Try going back to when we sold Gyokeres and Hamer. I find it hard to believe that anyone can't remember how toxic our supporters got after 'wasting the Hamer and Gyokeres money'

Nah, I'll take your word for it, couldn't really care either way to be honest.

Of course because you remember the truth.
You want the truth? You can’t handle the truth! No truth handler, you! Bah, I deride your truth handling abilities!

(I don’t actually know what’s being talked about)

Brighton are a scary team at the minute score from everywhere. Really well coached, really well run and gives a lot of hope to others that are not considered top 6.
😊

Thanks for this, and the other compliments. Since visiting the CBS a few weeks ago I've kept in touch with this messageboard as it's one of the better ones. Reminds me a bit of NorthStandChat, the Brighton forum. A bit edgy but reasonably mature. Sometimes...

Obviously I enjoyed the 5-0 at Coventry even if I did think the scoreline a little flattering. What impressed me about the visit was two things -- the friendly locals I met, both when I stayed in Warwick the night before, and when I went for a pre-match pint in Coventry city centre. And second, when you were 5-0 down at home, there was a tremendous wall of vocal support for the team and the club. It was actually quite affecting. You were louder when you were 'suffering' (as we have to say these days) than earlier in the game when you were still in with a shout, That struck me as a very good omen for your future. If you can still demonstrate your love for your team, or for that matter, a friend or family member, after they've done something to piss you off, that says a lot about your character and offers a lot of hope for the future.

I was absolutely delighted watching you thump Newcastle. It seemed like a moment when your loyalty was being finally rewarded. And I'd also bloody love it if you got something at Tottenham tomorrow. Half my extended family are Spurs fans, and they've not always been generous about Brighton.

We're having a good season so far but it's very early days. Next 3 domestic matches are away -- at Anfield, and two games against the other *City -- the one with the asterisk -- at the Etihad (one in the Carabou). If we don't lose all three I'll allow myself a little self-nudge of optimism. I'll be at the two PL games, and in Prague on Thursday for the Conference match. The Seagulls have become a genuinely fun team to watch. I'm nearly 70 and have waited a long time for days like this. It's also given me something to do in retirement!

I hope you get somewhere on your own journey. I have a couple of connections with the Sky Blues. I was at Wembley in 1987 for the Coventry cup final (long story but connected to those aforementioned Spurs fans in my family). And my late mother in law grew up with the legendary Jimmy Hill near Clapham, SW London. They were neighbours and close friends as kids.

Brighton and Coventry have quite a few things in common. We both lost our stadiums and nearly went out of business. Dropped down the leagues pursued by big financial problems. But both clubs have been resuscitated and come back. The Seagulls may be slightly ahead in their revival but I don't think you're far behind. What we both have in common is a loyal local fanbase.

Good luck. I hope we'll see some of you down in sunny Brighton at the end of March. You'll be made welcome.
