I think we need to play to focus more on our strengths than the fact it's Portsmouth, otherwise we run the risk of creating our own problems by playing to them. Then it becomes about if we can take our chances IMO.

Far too often in the past we've looked to negate an opponent rather than play to our strengths and suffered from it.

Dont Robins will change the team that started on Saturday. Tempting to throw Kastaneer in for Hiwula, unlikely though.

Would happily take a draw to keep unbeaten going. But would be great to get the win. Especially with our current form.

2-0 our wide players will frighten the shit out of them, Godden and Jobello to get the goals, Marquis to crawl out of McFadzeans pocket after 90 mins.

For anyone driving, I called the Good Companion earlier and asked if I can park there. The lady said yes and I confirmed that I was an away fan and would probably have a pint in there beforehand and she said that was fine, although cars are obviously left at own risk.

As I have nothing CCFC related on my car, I think it'll be fine.

This will be difficult, they're a good side despite their indifferent start. I'd be content with a draw. I do worry about our lack of depth in midfield particularly.

Parked at the Good Companion on my last couple of visits. No issues at all. Pretty much everyone who parked there was a city fan and very few Pompey fans in there.

To add to this, in case there is no space, earlier in the year I parked down Stride Avenue (from looking at Google maps) and there were plenty of side roads similar that were free parking and around 5 minute walk to the Good Campanion, probably 15 minutes from the ground.

Would take a draw, be delighted with a win, wouldn't be surprised if we lost despite being the better team like last season.

Watching the Sunderland v Portsmouth game from saturday, neither looked amazing nor should we fear either of them.
I think we will give them a very good game. Keep it strong at the back from set pieces, take our chances and I think we can get all 3 points.

The past couple of times I've been to Fratton Park, I've parked off Milton Road but it's max two hour stay. Not sure how often it's checked but I'm not up for getting caught so will try the GC tomorrow night!

Looking forward to it now.

Allen coming back plus another 1 in on loan makes the midfield look much stronger!

Bit of overconfidence on here I think. Not many teams will come away from Fratton Park with 3 points this season.

Neither look likely for tomorrow. Allen won't play before he's had a run out in the u23s and doubt a loan will join in time

When Marcus Harness notched after 22 minutes on Saturday, Portsmouth appeared to be in a promising position. After all, they were a goal up against a side that had looked lacklustre over the first weeks, though Kenny Jackett’s men quickly found themselves not just level but behind and were never able to recover. After losing in the north east, the south-coast side will be hoping that returning home allows them to bounce back.

In a game that lacked overall quality, especially in the final third, Portsmouth certainly didn’t do enough to warrant all three points last time out, though they weren’t quite poor enough to fully deserve defeat, as an expected goal difference of -0.14 suggests. That said, they ultimately paid the price for not doing anywhere near enough going forward, even if their opponents weren’t great in that respect. With players such as Harness, Marquis and Curtis in their line-up, Pompey really should have registered more than six shots, only one of which hit the target.

Fortunately, Portsmouth are often a different proposition on their own patch, or rather they’re just very good in front of the Fratton Park faithful. Not only did Pompey beat Tranmere on home soil a little over a week ago, scoring twice, conceding none and posting a pleasing 1.95 expected goals for in the process, but they also got the better of Championship Birmingham in the League Cup a few days before that. On that occasion, Jackett’s men scored three, shipped none, created 1.93 expected goals for and conceded just 0.55.

While Portsmouth have won one and lost two, Coventry go into match-day four off the back of two wins and a draw, while they’re yet to concede a goal. With seven points, three goals and zero conceded, it’s fair to say that Mark Robins’ men have made a very solid start.

A trip to Fratton Park is certainly something that many League One teams will fear this term, though Coventry won’t be scared ahead of Tuesday’s game. Not only are the Sky Blues unbeaten after three, but they also delivered a strong performance at this venue at the back end of last season. They lost by two goals to one on that occasion, but they caused the hosts several problems and were very unlucky losers.

Coventry did fail to beat Bolton on the road just over a week ago, but they were on top throughout, while they showed that creating chances is something that they’re capable of. Moreover, Robins’ men, who’ve conceded just three shots on target in three games this term, built on that by delivering a solid effort to beat Bristol Rovers by two goals to nil at the weekend.

In the early betting, Portsmouth are odds-on favourites, though there’s something not quite right about that. Pompey are very good on their own patch, but they’re highly unlikely to have an easy time against a shrewd Coventry outfit.

At the prices, ‘Coventry +1 Handicap’ makes lots of appeal. The visitors are bound to concede a goal sooner rather than later, but they look a solid unit all around and have more than enough quality in the final third to hurt teams. Add in the fact that Portsmouth come into this game off the back of a rather subdued effort and it’s not at all difficult to conclude that the visitors have a slightly better chance of getting a result than the current odds suggest.

One of my Pompey mates said its sold out. Should be a good atmosphere. Wonder if we've sold all ours or given some back.

Portsmouth are a good promotion chasing side, but so are we. I know it’s more fun to talk about how poor we are etc etc etc, but we’re not. Portsmouth will be just as concerned about us.

I think it’ll be a tight game, but as long as we play football I think we can come away with a victory. If we go defensive then we’ll struggle.

And if we do lose, let’s not all lose our heads.

Harness is a Coventry lad so he's bound to score against us! 3-1 Cov, Kastaneer to bully someone after he comes on in the 75th minute and slot one home.

I'd take a draw right now, as long as it's not what we go out aiming to get. We have to have a go at them and see what they're capable of.

Same team as Sat with appearances off the bench for Kastaneer and Baka just gone the hour. If we're losing with five minutes left expect MR to go for it by substituting one of the full backs. For another full back.

It’s basically the same camera that you get for the highlights with the CWR commentary over the top (normally a few seconds behind annoyingly).

If you can’t get to the game definitely worth watching.
