Rushworth 7 settled down
Mve 7 good shift
JDS 6 battled
Pinnock 8 effective
Thomas 9 don’t get me wrong he makes mistakes but was absolutely immense
EMC 5 stay on your feet
BTA 6 works his socks off
Grimes 6 ineffective
Yirenkyi 7 learning
Rudoni 8 classy
Cherif 7 promising

Rushworth 7.5 - growing in confidence. Couldn't do anything for the goal
JDS - 7 battled well, outpaced a couple of times
Thomas 9.5 MOTM - Best half I've seen from a cov defender in a long time
Pinnock 8.5 - wily and solid second half especially
MVE - 7 back to good stuff
Yirenki - 7 solid, growing in confidence
Grimes - 7 not as effective at this level but decent and broke up play well
BTA 6 - misused out wide i think but works hard for the team. Positioning ropey once or twice
EMC 6 - struggled to br effective
Rudi - 9 - great shift, glad he scored. Some of his touches unbelievable
Cherif - 8 - great goal and worked hard

Simms, Mfuni and Saka all impactful off the bench. Torp and Onyeka helped kill the game.

Rushworth 5 - that cross which went through his hands was inexplicably bad. That kind of mistake will cost you games this season
MvE 6 - Really struggled in the first half with his positioning. More solid as the game went on
Thomas 8 - solid, although the clearance off the line was covering for his own mistake
Pinnock 8.5 - really good and a picture of calmness
Da Silva 7 - mostly reliable and got forward well
Yirenkyi 6 - struggled at times, perhaps Onyeka should have started. He's very young and talented so gets a pass
Grimes 5 - not really in the game, it seemed to pass him by
EMC 6 - still not seeing too much evidence that he can make the impactful jump up to this level, the relationship with Da Silva shouldn't be underestimated though and we were much tighter defensively down our left
Rudoni 9 - that was the game which showed us he is up to this level. Ran rings around Newcastle at times
BTA 7 - his calmness and ability to play for free kicks at times is an undervalued asset. Shoes more leadership than Grimes for me. Would have loved his shot to have gone in off the post
Cherif - 9 superb goal from nothing, involved. Shame he didn't get his 2nd goal

Mfuni - 8 class. Hopefully we can get a windfall from Man City's situation?!
Simms - 7 important goal at an important time
Sakamoto 7 suprised to see him come on, but put himself about. Just needs more belief in himself
Torp N/A
Onyeka N/A

How anyone gets below a 6 is beyond me

Yirenki backed off and gave them too much room for their strike. I was screaming at my telly for him to close him down but he seemed to take a step the wrong way and let him move into shooting range. Id def start with Saks against Spurs. He will earn us free kicks around the box and covers better than emc.

Rushworth 6
Milan 7.5
Thomas 9
Pinnock 8
Dasilva 7
Yirenkyi 6
Grimes 6
Rudoni 8

I did the same at the game for about 3 seconds.
Someone else could have tried perhaps too

We won 4.1! Those marks are nonsense.

All are playing within the structure and it helps performance as a group an individual.

Thomas, Rudoni outstanding.
Grimes, Pinnock just old heads make it look simple.
JDS is definitely not being targeted, he is so much better and playing the best he has at the club.
BTA, Caleb bring energy not always get it right but work within the structure well.
Cherif showed fans tonight he will be a good addition.
Tatsu did well works his bollocks off.

EMC is struggling to get up to pace, he will get there.

Totally agree, especially 5 for Grimes is ridiculous. His positional play tonight was excellent, he hardly gave the ball away, he organises, and 2nd half he cut out a really dangerous ball in our box through his reading of the game. It seems some of our fans just have to have a scapegoat.

How anyone gets below a 6 is beyond me
Because it wasn't a superb overall team performance. It was a mixture of individual brilliance and some solid centre backs but certain players were below the required standard, we just weren't punished by Newcastle. Look at the match stats!
Some players also really stepped up and chances were taken by us

Way too much nitpicking on here for me , if anyone had said at 8pm tonight we win 4-1 then I’d have called them an eternal optimist
Thomas is improving so fast and could easily be in an England squad before to long , DaSilva again looks comfortable at this level , Rudi showing he’s ready for this level . And as for our younger players Cherif , Yerenkyi and Mfuni just wow

Rushworth - 8 fumbled one cross but his distribution is a real attacking threat for us
MvE - 7.5 close to his best tonight , competitive and positive in his defending and attacking
Pinnock - 8 no way is he past it , adds composure and experience to the back line
Thomas - 9.5 one mistake first half costs him a 10 but what a performance tonight easily MOM
DaSilva - 8.5 this seasons mr.consistent
Grimes - 7.5 in possession very good tonight, worry about his pace defensively
Yerenkyi - 8 very raw but he has so much potential , covers the ground so easily and looks forwards at every opportunity
Rudoni - 9 made for this level , absolute quality
BTA - 7 frustrates but his work rate is exemplary
EMC - 7 thought he grew in to the game , obviously needs to improve but he started slowly at Championship level . Frank clearly rates him
Cherif - 8 great goal , great work rate , made some bad decisions but for a 19 year old he had a great game

Onyeka - 7.5 added energy whe it was needed
Torp - 7.5 same as FTT
Sakamoto - 8 added energy and attacking threat
Simms - 8.5 great goal , caused issues for a tiring defence
Mfuni - 8.5 this kid is special , what a goal

What warranted Rushworth a 5?

That simple cross he dropped would have been an absolute howler had it gone in (which it easily could have). Also felt he should have come for a cross early in the first half. Beaten at his near post for their goal, although it was hit with such power I am not sure any keeper could have done anything.

Poor attempt at wumming

So he dropped 1 ball and conceded a worldie and that warrants a 5. Not for me.

If Bobby Thomas isn’t getting 10’s I don’t know how you can as a defender. Particularly first half, that was about as good an individual performance I can remember from anyone for some time.

So many good performances tonight.

Rudi, MVE, Pinnock all superb
Grimes was back to his last season self.
Thought BTA affected that game more than people realise. He’s one of those players that gives kinetic energy to the whole team when they see him busting his bollocks off.

Aggghhh a 4-1 home win in the premier league against the richest owners in the country. Oh how far away does beating teams like Wycombe and MK Dons feel. PUSB. We’re back baby

BTA doing a job for the team that lamps has asked him to do. Running himself into the ground. Another game where he has put up big defensive contributions for a forward player.

Rushworth 7
Mve -8.5 his best game this season
Jds 8

Pinnock 8
Yirencki 8

Bta 8
Emc 6
