Strange that we won though seeing as the players aren't trying since SISU stopped paying them what they were contractually entitled to :sarcasm:

I was surprised how much the sending off impacted them - they were miles on top sat back after they lost the player.

Flecks goal was great. I am not a huge tudgay fan but Mowbray needs to ask himself why his always preferred fortune to him.

There was a lot of effort but still not great. At least it's a win to stop the dire home sequence.

We were on top when the sending off happened and it disrupted us a bit initially when it happened.

No we really weren't. They'd had numerous corners one very good chance and the goalkeeper made a good save.

We hadn't even had an attempt on goal.

So happy with the win but disagree with Peter Barnes and Clive Eikin. It wad one way traffic until the sending off then we huffed and puffed until half time.

Moved the ball really well in the second half where Cole was immense. However, tudguys chance aside we really struggled to break them down and were limited to shooting from 25+ yards. Fleck scored a worldy. And RCC made a couple of decent saves near the death.

Some great passion and like o say we passed the ball well, but the turning point was the sending off.

Ha, ha! You wish.

Just makes it even more galling now though doesn't it. Such a terrible, terrible run of form and a dreadful slide down the table and yet we are still only 8 points outside 6th place.

Just heightens how far we were ahead of everyone way back when.

Also why Mowbray is largely culpable for failing to get the club to remain there.

Like I said this win does not mean we have improved just that we were a goal down when it were equal number of players on the pitch and we only started scoring after they had a player sent off.

Face it if they had not had a player sent off then what are the chances we would have won. We can't score for toffee when playing against 11 players so no I am not that impressed with this win. All I see is we going to carry on with the familiar pattern this season of losing a few more games and then win a pointless one match which is far to little and too late now. Sorry but I can't see them winning back to back.

We just have to accept that this season we have blown the chances of the playoffs in a colossal fashion.

We had a goal disallowed just before the sending off
They dominated the first 20 minutes with their set pieces
Then we started to control the possession and create chances.
The goal was disallowed. Then the sending off happened.

There's no doubt the sending off changed things, it allowed us to use the ball and tire them out.

Given that we played against 10 men for over an hour we only managed 4 shots on target and 57% possession, and force 4 corners to their 8.

They just never adapted to it at all. They abandoned the left side altogether.

We have so little presence in the air I just think they felt the powder puff crosses could be dealt with all day.

It was embarrassing how much space there was, thats why I was expecting Murphy on down there.

We put some good crosses in, but they could have mopped them up all day. when we put them across at knee height wth pace it was much more dangerous

Their manager says the red was correct and the player has apologised to the rest of the team. Maybe there was some contact then?

It was stupid, they had a free kick already. He should have just laughed at Lameries and called him a prick.

Even if he hadn't been sent off it got the crowd going and got everybody fired up for it. We have missed a player the opposition boo because they have done something like that, when was the last time it happened?

It was rediculous, they had the freekick, they were 1-0 up, why did that player even boot lamieres off the ball to begin with? That was just odd. Then to GI and headbutt him....

Nice couple of wins there betting wise. Shut odds but makes a nice change having money coming back to me no matter how little

Decent game, especially the second half.

Sending off changed the game but think we deserved something from the game and a win was needed!

Phillips had a great game. Goal of the season from Fleck, good to see Ruben having a good go, even if his crossing was poor. Proof why he's not a winger, but is a danger on the attack and one of those nippy players defending teams must hate playing against.

Good tactical moves shown by Mowbray and not afraid to make that early sub.

Hear it kicked off with their fans at the end of the game; but like their time wasting tactics, they don't like it when they're not winning

3 points is welcome, not a great performance by any means.
We looked like we had ran out of ideas until Fleck scored with a pot shot.
Thought Mowbray done well with substitutions today.

Some people seem to want us to lose and finish in the bottom half now we won't make the top 6 so that they can have even more of a go at TM.

Yes I know, I said I was happy in my first post, that was more in response to don who was saying we were well on top before the sending off.

Very pleased with the win, especially over the dregs of London town. All that said I wonder if this will paper over the cracks a bit ? After all it wasn't looking great until they went down to ten men ?!

I've no doubt that if it had stayed 11 v 11 we'd have lsot. However, for a meaningless win, it feels good!

No chance, too far behind and not long enough to make up the points.
