It is also a shame Thorn hasn't received the same amount of financial backing as our previous managers.

I forget that previous managers such as Adams & Dowie had millions to spend and were allowed to keep all of our better players.

How much did he spend on Cody?

Not as much as he would have spent on his real target Adam Le Fondre who'll be playing in the premier league next season. Just a bag of peanuts separated the two I think but SISU would have had to take out a loan.

'I've got older grandkids', 'they play football the right way, but they're just not yet strong enough', 'they've got a youth team out there'

Royals captured the 24-year-old hotshot from Rotherham United for around £350,000 on a three-year deal last weekend.

ANDY THORN has revealed that he's been tracking Coventry City new-boy Cody McDonald all summer.

The 25-year-old agreed a three-year deal with the Sky Blues after Norwich City accepted a £400,000 offer for the star earlier today.

What's with our short corners? They're failing just as much as our normal ones yet we persist in 'trying' them. And have we actually made any successful passes? Seem to be giving everything away!

Ther two goals have comes from attacking FORWARD play. It's no surprise we're going the opposite direction to them!

why the hell was Cody Mac marking Fonte for the second goal?

I guess we've just absolutely no height in this team.

And if you believe that he was Thorn's number one target, despite us putting in a bid for Le Fondre (a fully fit striker) first, then you'll believe anything.

What's that meant to mean? Do you mean the kids didn't hit the ground running when they had even less experience than they have now?

Could I add that Cody Mac - now he's fit - looks a good player. Le Fondre looks a great player; but one who didn't want to join us.

The only link being they're both good strikers who Thorn wanted

Agree. I think he'll come good next season. Not a bad player. I imagine Thorn was just ecstatic they let him bring a player in!

Cody 250-500k

Adams
Kyle 800-1 mill
Mckenzie 800-1 mill
Elliot Ward 1 mill
Are the stand out ones as well as big wages they were getting, still many others he was able to sign on big wages such as John, Hutchison, Scowcroft, Wise etc.

Dowie didn't get as much but still signed De Zeeuw, Gary Borrowdale, Best (600-800k, Ellery Cairo, Gray all in one season.

Coleman
Eastwood 1.5 mill
Clingan 500-800k
Wood 500k
Morrison large wages
Westwood 500k
Dann
Fox 1 mill combined
and more

Now go troll somewhere else please

All transfer fees are estimates.

Southampton's youth team coach:
Fair play to Coventry, 3 of their lads played our team 6 weeks ago.

What a joke.

Adams, Dowie, Coleman & even Boothroyd are all far more talented managers and Thorn and never received the backing which Thorn has received. It doesn't make any sense.

John was signed by Peter Reid by the way.

Ok 1 player I got wrong, you are probably to dense to get the point I was making anyway that all managers before got more financial backing from the board.

The managers before were not backed by the fans because they were given resources to work with and still largely done shit.

But still much better than yours the same tired old tripe more interested in defending thorn than the welfare of the club. What about the first 23 games. Did our relegation have nothing to do with them. Was our midfield 19 then? Really your man love for thorn is disturbing.

Just turned it on for the second half, we seem to be getting muscled off the ball very easily

Do you mean 'too' dense?

Adams led us to an 8th place finish, yet was sacked as soon as things went a bit wrong the following season (after Mcsheffrey was sold). Did Dowie really do that badly? He was working under a transfer embargo for quite a while when he was here. Boothroyd was under an embargo as well, he was quickly turned on as well, despite the fact he lost key members of the team and wasn't able to replace them.
