Cheers.
I just saw our formation as more of a 3-4-2-1 but I guess labelling it 'box' suits some for convenience.

Robins and Viveash call it a box and their word is law.

Looks like a left-sided counterpart to Jobello for me. Maybe Robins hasn't given up on our early-season tactics of pumping endless crosses into the box.

I remember the season when all we signed was 2 goalkeepers - needless to say, that season didnt end well

Fair enough, that's where I've missed it then, as I have never heard MR refer to the 3-4-2-1 with Wing-backs as 'box' before.

Going to try and reserve judgement on this one until atleast November...

Nahhhhh I'll get just as excited as I did with Kastaneer when he linked up with Jobello vs Leamington last year

Strange that none of those accounts that claim to have inside information have made any mention of this. Almost as if they just copy rumours from places like this.

Criticism of one footed left footed players always annoys me as it gets mentioned way more than one footed right footed players.
Plus it touches a nerve as I'm left footed myself. But right handed so I'm not a total dork.

Gives another option for the two advanced midfielders (although that’s the one place we have competition) but also an option for the wing if we need to change things up. Seems wise but hard to seeing him getting a lot of starts.

Well if we now have this 5 sub thing we are going to need a bit of depth

Without knowing anything about Marcel, is it possible he could be a winger that could be converted to wing back? Not sure of his fitness/defending, but should be a good attacking outlet from wb?
But, again, I have no idea if MR is just thinking about options from the bench.

Looks like a player to bolster the squad than an automatic first choice like Jobella?

May mean Kastaneer is leaving?

Not sure I feel about this signing, from the highlight reel, looks like a useful player. I’d be more optimistic if he was younger than 23.

To be frank, I can’t really see him being a starter from the get-go. But, that doesn’t mean he can’t adapt and develop well for us.

As Nick pointed out, could he even play left wingback?

tbh it feels like the kind of signing where if he starts more than 10 league games next season it'll probably mean he's better than he was expected to be

I wouldn't look into the fact that he's coming from the German 3rd division. German football is pretty comparable to English football than say, the Portuguese 3rd tier.

In essence, he's coming from the same league we've just been in and as we know, there's some decent players in L1 who could make the step up to the championship. A number of them currently training at Ryton as a start...

So if I was to go with some of the comments I’m seeing we’ve basically signed another Martin Lorentzen.

Interesting one, looks like another player with a promising young career that didn't quite work out yet and a bit of a punt with not a lot of risk.

To be honest, I'd never heard of dabo jebello, O'Hare, kastener, rose hyam or many of the others until they signed for city, so welcome to him and I hope your time at ccfc is prosperous for you and us.

Let's back him and see what he can do

Just keeping track, we’ve now got Dacosta at CB, Dabo and Pask at DM, and now this guy at LWB.

Squad depth coming along nicely

Is he right sided or left sided?
The fact he's left footed suggests he's Left Winger, but his FUT card and a few reports above suggest he's Right Wing...

Who also played for the same team as Jobello in 2017.

I trust the recruitment team on this one, they’ve done their bit to get us up the league. As long as Hilßner fits a certain playing style and personality, I’m sure he could make an impact. However, I’m sceptical that we’ve signed a Div 3 player to start in the Championship.
