Maybe they’ll forget we got promoted, think this is a Carabao Cup tie and send out their kids?

Can't wait for Saturday, really looking forward to it.
Should be a great day, hoping against hope for a surprise result.
Enjoy 👍

A long walk without bars you can go in showing your colours. Looks good from the outside but away entrance could look a lot better. But once in....wow. Good quality beer at a good price.

The last time I was there the team I went to see won. Met Manchester United fans everywhere after a walk along the canals to get to the bars and they bought us beers 😂

Fear for us a bit here. We've looked very open. Hard to imagine any other result, but if we can look more physical and resolute defensively, I think that would give us some confidence.

Behind enemy lines for this one, it’s going to be very hard not to cheer if we put one past them

Paul Tierney is the ref on Saturday.

Last time he was in charge was the 3-0 defeat at Ipswich last year where he failed to send off Hirst. 13 years since we've won a game where he was the ref.

This is the problem we have. Our players have fear and so do most of our supporters.

We just need to go out there and give it our best shot. This game is more about how we play than the result.

Just want to get this one over. Can’t say I’m excited about it. The prospect is daunting when you haven’t got any points or even scored yet. No chance of going to games like these so won’t get the travel/ beers/ new stadium thrill.
Looking forward to Brighton at home 🤞

The only saving grace this time is, if he makes an awful decision again we have VAR. 🙏

Some inventive tactics Lampard could use:

1. Instruct the players not to wash. Man City will be so repulsed they won’t come near us when we have the ball.
2. Make fun of Haaland’s new haircut. He’ll be so hurt, he’ll leave the pitch crying.
3. Play in Sky Blue so the Man City players will pass to us.

Something funny which is within the rules and I'm pretty sure has never been done:

Put all 11 players on the goal line so it's physically impossible for the ball to go in

We know it's never going to happen but it would be funny.

What about the gap above Dasliva's head?

I’m trying to think if I was Man City what I could do to score against that?

Peter Cook suggested this tactic when he was on Clive Anderson as a spoof football manager. Can't believe no ones tried it!

It’s a variation on a tactic I got our 5 a side team to try when hopelessly outmatched. Station 4 players around the ‘D’, and just pass it backwards and forwards between them and the keeper.

0-0 cheat code!

2 things, firstly, how did someone who is decent at chess and therefore a strategic thinker conjure up that nonsense?

Secondly, dont let me see you on here criticising any manager ever again!

That would be a 5-0 walkover I’d have just left, disgusting Denmark-esque Euros tactics
