I would argue its really not much better than many of the rented grounds including Portman Road and the K C

There are many that are old style. Only a few nearly as good as ours. Name any better that are cheap to rent. When they are talking about average rents they don't look at how decent the.grounds are.

Our ground has indoor climate controlled warm up areas for both teams. How many L1 grounds have that??

Portman road is £15,000 a year and the KC is £5,000.

So would you swap or keep our 5 star accommodation (which is no better than either by the way)

And did it have the same value as a.15 year old banger? Would you expect to pay the same to hire an old banger and a nearly new motor?

As a football stadium what does the Ricoh offer that those grounds don't?

Debatable and the view is not £1.2 million better no debate there.

Have you any idea how the KC stadium was paid for?

I lived the other side of the Humber bridge for about 18 years. BT were not in Hull. They had their own phone company owned by the council. This was sold and money invested in things for local people. This included the ground. A token rent is payable. Hull council had been renting part of the site from the football club. I think it is a library and something else. It is all changing now.

Not saying our ground is worth 1.2m. I am saying it is not an average ground. It is certainly not an average Div3 ground. But average Div3 rent is being used as for the rent we should be paying.

The div 2 average (£260k?) has also been quoted a number of times.

Just a question.

People are saying it's another loan move but the wording on the websites leads me to believe we're taking him on permanently. As in he'll be our player. How much do you think we'll pay for him? I'd say between £100k to £200k with wages in the region of £4k a week?? It would be nice to get DMC but I can't see that happening. It's a dream but probably not a reality! Still one can hope

He is a decent player. Swindon want rid though as he had a major disagreement with Dicanio 11 days after joining. He don't want him at the club full stop. That is why he has been out on loan since joining them.

If this falling out was a one off we will get a good player very cheap. If not it could ruin the morale of the players. This is why Swindon will not have him back. They just want him off their wagebill.

Would love it if he fired us to promotion just beating Swindon

Swindon wanted rid and got rid in Jan 2012 to Charlton in a swap deal with Paul Benson.

He left them last season astute. He's at Charlton at the moment.

The club don't benefit from many of the facilities like the concert halls and casino so that doesn't apply

Are you suggesting we should pay 6 times the average because we have comfier dugouts and dressing rooms

The league 1 average rent hasn't been quoted as the rent we should be paying but more of a guideline figure to base our agreement on I believe. I reckon around 300k total would be fair

So is Clarke on loan or trial?
Loan means he can play, trial means he can't.
Any ideas?

The loan window is closed so he can not play until the transfer window opens.
He is on trial so he can train with us.
He will need to sign on loan to play against Shrewsbury otherwise his first game could be spurs.

His contract is almost up, he's in a very similar situation to McG, it'll be no more than a nominal fee and it wouldn't surprise me if Charlton just give him to us (like we did with McPake + Deegan) they don't him and Clarke doesn't want to stay at Charlton.
