Do you think we would be back in Coventry if we were selling out in Northampton like Fisher thought we would?

Fisher would have known we wouldn't sell out. We were barely getting 10,000 at the Ricoh.

We wouldn't be back at all if wasps hasn't bought the ground.

I don't think we'll ever truly know the answer to that. What's always astounded me is that some were willing to risk it and go regardless.

I think there's been some blurring between the group NOPM who I agree had little impact and the general feeling of "fuck this shit I'm not giving them my money" which some summed up as NOPM.

NOPM is such an open phrase. I was in the NOPM camp. But I also said until my club came home. I now again buy CCFC merchandise and go to games. If we were still in Northampton I wouldn't. I don't hold anything against anyone with different thoughts to myself. We might have folded without any support in Northampton but could still be there if we all went.

Life is all about making choices. I made mine, you made yours. But at some time we still need to go forward.

As did backing the JR for others, like they were more intelligent than others because they thought there was a case to answer to.

It is good that you state what you believe. But we don't know for sure. Had Joy given Fisher a time limit and found that numbers were down even more? I tend to agree that it helped us back. But not sure how much.

I didn't bother with anything like away games or buying any merchandise while at Sixfields so technically I didn't give them any money, but a lot of the NOPM stuff was self-congratulatory hashtag preening so that held no interest.

There was a case to answer for. On all sides. We got some answers but not enough. I would like more answers from all sides.

Well if we wouldn't have been back at all unless Wasps brought the ground that must mean that no one else was going to buy it so CCC must have been right to sell to the only show in town to stop a public asset becoming the worthless white elephant you kept insisting it was.

By the way I love the way you say "Fisher would have known WE wouldn't have sold out" like you didn't.

Not within the outlines of the JR there wasn't.

I agree there are questions to be asked and answers given by all sides but the only thing we really learnt from the JR is that it was doomed for failure from the off. And I mean the case in itself and the effect of merely seeking the case was expected to do.

Well the council could have offered the deal the offered wasps....it's obvious as acl were going bust that the business was unsustainable. They didn't want to sell to the club and the club wouldn't want to rent off them at a rent level that would have made acl sustainable.

Despite people's assertions fisher is an idiot he isn't. He would have had to have been an imbecile to believe that for obvious reasons. They budgeted for 3,000 and that was optimistic but not impossible.

Most were not NOPM - it was just a pain to go to Northampton every other week

Did you see the TF video where he was laughed at by the audience. Most on this forum will see your post in the same nature.

"And if we are playing good football and getting results......" You know...where everyone laughed at him. It was exciting times with two good strikers scoring lots of goals and a midfield getting their fair share. Was that a 3,000 crowd comment by Fisher?

You talk as though they hadn't tried to do a deal with SISU. It became litigation after litigation. Wasted time. Wasted money. You called it a white elephant that nobody but SISU would be interested in. You insulted everyone that saw someone else might be interested. Fisher and Joy thought the same as you. It has cost our club a home. Yet you still blame everyone but them. Maybe they are not idiots but it was an idiotic thing they did.

You say the reason that the gates were down was that it is a pain to go to Northampton. So why didn't those that live in and around Northampton go there? You said that the reason that you were not going to Northampton was that it was your way of protesting. Are you calling yourself a liar? Are you calling all others on here a liar that said the same?

Oh to go back to the days where we could talk about football. We could have banter and not get wound up by it. At least we have learned about legal procedures and found out what a JR is

Why do you say the Council would not sell to the club, where there is no collective evidence, other than one persons hand written note ? Surely the evidence is the other way round where Sisu/TF categorically said that it was worthless and would not buy it?

6-7000 if we're playing well IIRC was what he said. Which we were, well for half the season anyway. Never got 6-7000 at any point though or even his lower estimate I think. He earned that round of laughter and was proven well and truly wrong.

We could still talk about football ie the fixtures come out yesterday yet is a much smaller thread than this thread which discusses a meeting which took place that a bunch of monkeys attended.

So CCC should have offered SISU the same deal that Wasps negotiated for themselves? The deal TF said they wouldn't have done? That one?

You also seem to think that the only way the canny business people at SISU can only do a deal if someone is offering it to them. Presumably MM had another party negotiate the deal that SISU did to buy CCFC but MM felt honour bound to offer it to SISU because it was the only way they could takeover CCFC?. Or is it more likely they identified something that they wanted to aquire and in the age old tradition of these things engage in negotiations with the relevant parties to achieve this goal?

More like Lemmings IMO although Sisu will be the last to jump.
All want CCFC to do well but for different reasons.
SISU for their own gain and the supporters for the love of the club.
Unfortunately with them in charge of the club and not actually being truthful nothing actually gets achieved.
Good luck to the fans on the group but you can only tread water until the greedy hedge fund leave with their tails between their legs.

Cannot disagree with this but how do we get the message accross to the board/committee that it is not fit for purpose and not giving a true representation of the fans views.

i certainly would not volunteer to go on it as I cannot afford the time I would spend in jail after throttling the chair of the group

I guess you would need an existing member to propose it. Of course the risk would be those who fear they may no longer be involved might try and block it.

Comedy gold. If you watch closely you can see the moment when it suddenly dawns on him if he says what he's about to say he's going to look really silly. But he says it anyway.

So we have no chance of changing as I am sure most on the little group enjoy the feeling of power.

Think so. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be independent of the club so they can't impose a change. The obvious people to set something up would be the trust but the SCG and the club both don't seem to get on particularly well with the trust so that's probably a non starter.

Maybe at the next trust meeting someone can ask it to be raised by the trust members on the SCG?

Am sure that if anyone wanted to go to a meeting they could not refuse, we have individuals coming for the odd meeting and then never seen again all the time.
Some of those who attend do represent groups others although genuine supporters are there as individuals.

You are right.
The issue will be that an individual or a group will make a proposal and it will not be passed.
