Is anybody worried... (6 Viewers)

Is anybody worried that all that seems to be mentioned is preferred bidders etc and nothing on the actual football side, obviously its understandable that without someone owning the club we cant buy any players but with the pre-season fast approaching we have been only linked with about 2 players and have seen plenty walk out the door. Personally I am quite worried and even if the ownership sorts itself out I think it may be too late to start trying to get players and find people we are actually interested in

least of our worries

I remember when SISU 1st came to the club, the very 1st question RR was asked was "are you going to sell Michael Mifsud?".

Administration and this legal process will effect the entire future of our club, so you will see why I am not massivly concerned about signing Michael Duberry on a free.

No. The future of the club is at stake.

If we get our way and the club ends up in the hands of PH4 or some other consortium, there's a good chance we'll be deducted 15 points anyway. Can't see SISU agreeing to a CVA. The other outcome and we end up playing outside Coventry in front of next to nobody. Either way, next season is pretty much a write off already.

Tend to agree Ferret.

And all this off field stuff is going to have a knock on effect on the pitch.

I can see nothing other than a relegation scrap this year, unless a new owner comes in and comes in with major investment.

If SISU get their way and we move to a new home; you'd better get used to it in the coming seasons. No chance to exploit revenues at someone else's stadium, sparse crowds meaning little turnover and FFP rules meaning less can be invested in the playing squad. Looking at the numbers who would perhaps travel to somewhere like Walsall, our gates would be - at less than 6K - within the bottom seven attendances in the league; and our players costed accordingly

Without wishing to disagree with your general point, Shrewsbury had the 11th highest league average last season, and that was 5736. It would have to be around 4000 to be in the bottom seven - although that is certainly feasible.

Just popped out for lunch dear chap. I'll provide the link to the source of my data when I'm back at my desk

Leeds got a top six place after a 15 point deduction

By all means do, but it doesn't escape the fact the data is wrong :p

It's academic though, as gates would be terrible in such a scenario and the chances of competing at the right end of the table in those circumstances are pretty much nil.

As per link, dear chap, second table down, I think my mistake was citing 6K as opposed to 4K (which is akin to the Fisher estimate, hence me choosing it), which is what I meant. Please attribute this to low-glucose, pre-lunch:
