We go to the stadium via Tesco to the underpass wherein just past the railway entrance on the right you can see they are putting down the footings for the two statues which will be facing the stadium looking towards the shop.

Surely it should be where the players entrances is and the superstore there's enough space for it.

no, it's pretty much on the corner of the south and east stands. well, the fresh slab of concrete is.
thousands will see it every game. as well as everyone who ever drives around the ground on a non-match day.
it's a good spot.

To be fair more people walk past the underpass to the south and east stands then past the main entrance and shop.
Well over half of pur fans sit/stand in those stands.
