Gathering for Tommy / Discontent

[Nick]

Oh no. Its now changed to "anti racism protests taking place across the country"

I'm sure Specsavers could have stayed open.

[Nick]

But are those being housed ( and attacked) of any particular faith or don't we know ?

Id probably hazard a guess but don't want to generalise to be fair.

[Nick]

Would be a genius way to try and wipe out votes for reform....

[fernandopartridge]

Because the yougov poll says people are more worried about right wing extremism than Islamic extremism , which is fucking nuts when you consider one has killed a couple hundred in the last 15 or so years in the UK.

That's it

Right wing extremism potentially seems more wide spread and closer to home though, I think that's the difference to be honest.

[Liquid Gold]

Huge anti-racist one going on in Bristol with a tiny far right one about a mile away

I think all of the stuff being stirred up has been a great help for things like that.

Sky are now just trying to push the "football fan" rhetoric.

Bet it was all whipped up by a wooden board salesman.

[Nick]

Sky bloke just confused himself about a counter protest about a protest that hasnt happened but rumoured to happen

[Liquid Gold]

Military klaxon

[PVA]

I think (/hope) this will start to fizzle out now.

I don't think we'll see repeats of such clashes and buildings being set on fire now. Feels like they've had their fun and people getting sent down has put the frighteners up them.

From which country????

[Alan Dugdales Moustache]

From which country????

Russia

[Alan Dugdales Moustache]

Lads, “EDL” just means a load of racist white guys looking to kick off. It’s not a descriptor of membership of a group.

" Lads"

[Alan Dugdales Moustache]

Huge anti-racist one going on in Bristol with a tiny far right one about a mile away

If I were a food outlet there amongst all the boarded up shops I'd open up . I'd make a fortune.

[Nick]

"eight o'clock is the witching hour when the protestors were going to turn up"

Its worse than football commentators.

Begs the question, who and how has managed to troll the police so much that they expected a war?

[Saddlebrains]

Told you fuck all would happen

Someone has pulled the biggest wind up ever seen in British History, bravo to whoever it was

The Media baying for some action, the old bills stood around flicking their willy, brilliant

[shmmeee]

" Lads"

Apologies, didn’t mean to assume your gender.

Guys gals and non-binary pals, “EDL” is just generic language for a group of racist white lads on a rampage.

[Nick]

"the far right were supposed to have been here by now" while checking his watch. He looks pissed off he's been dragged there like he's been stood up on a date.

Now. The police need to explain along with the media why they have been scare mongering businesses into closing etc etc?

"The far right are 15 minutes late" wow

Now they praying the anti-fascist protests kick off

[CCFCSteve]

400m final on in next few mins

Not sure my non-white friends who are in areas on the protest list think it's all a good laugh and brilliant. Got people scared to leave the house, people frightened that family members could be attacked on their way home. Struggling to see the funny side.

[Saddlebrains]

Now they praying the anti-fascist protests kick off

Hilarious isn't it. They've got reporters set up everywhere for some action and the square root of fuck all is happening

How some people don't find it funny I don't know

Literally every single police force in the UK have had their pants down over a random list

[Nick]

Not sure my non-white friends who are in areas on the protest list think it's all a good laugh and brilliant. Got people scared to leave the house, people frightened that family members could be attacked on their way home. Struggling to see the funny side.

I just don't get how the police allowed it and encouraged it.

What fucking intelligence did they have? It all seems very coordinated.

[David O'Day]

there isn't a funny side, you can also add in the wasted money spent on thousands of extra police which is tax money we'll never get back

also the costs in lost trade to all the businesses

bang funny

[Sick Boy]

It sounds like it hasn't gone very well for the racist snowflakes in Brighton.

[Alan Dugdales Moustache]

You can call me " They" I thank you

Take your frustration out on the media and police for making out WW3 Was about to happen on a random Wednesday night in '100 different places' over a random list then

Anyone with an ounce of common sense would know that there was fuck all chance of even 1 tenth of that being coordinated

[CCFCSteve]

I just don't get how the police allowed it and encouraged it.

It might be that the EDL lot//chavvy looters just shat it

[Nick]

Again though, why the fuck were the police implicit in the scare mongering?

All day yesterday and today it's been as if the end of the world is happening at 8pm.

It isn't funny about people being scared or businesses closing. What is funny is the desperation of the media now nothing is happening.

[chiefdave]

I just don't get how the police allowed it and encouraged it.

you were moaning the other night there wasn't hundreds of police in Birmingham when there had been similar rumours

[Earlsdon_Skyblue1]

It sounds like it hasn't gone very well for the racist snowflakes in Brighton.

What happened? Any videos?

[Nick]

you were moaning the other night there wasn't hundreds of police in Birmingham when there had been similar rumours

They obviously didn't believe in them that much.

Who was whipping up the Muslim community? Who was telling them edl are coming?

[Saddlebrains]

They wouldn't be doing anything else anyway let's be honest

Still can't find the killer of a 12 year old boy in our own city whilst they have all the information they need about him

[David O'Day]

as dave said you whinged about them not being out in force on Monday for something that was start by the same person so what do you want them to do?

Not turn up and hope nothing kicks off? Remember there were no far right on Monday in brum but it still kicked off.

[Nick]

The media are now talking like the thick cunts we have seen the last few nights are skilled, tactical operators who might now been planning attacks.

[Macca]

Like most unrest its blown itself out. People realised not worth doing time for a free Greggs Steak Bake
