Hi lads. I've just got back in from hospital after having ultrasound scans for pains in my side.
They've just phoned me with results to say they think I have liver cancer. It's only a small shadow so they can't be sure, so they want me back in over the next week or so to have an in-depth MRI scan.
I'm posting this, not for sympathy, but looking for any support from anyone who might have been through this.
Thanks guys. Much love, Baz.

No personal experience, but just wishing you the very best

Best of luck with the MRI Baz, hopefully it will show something less nasty.

Hopefully it's nothing but if it is, it sounds like it's been caught early. I think if you are going to get cancer at all you have to consider that the best case scenario. All the best mate, stay positive, i'm sure all will be ok.

Not that its much consolation but first degree liver cancer is normally rare

I had to have an MRI and an endoscopy as they were convinced I had lung or esophagus cancer (likely the latter) a few months ago. It was something entirely different.

Its obviously going to be a major concern until its diagnosed but sometimes the initial view is not correct

Sorry to read this Houch, let's all hope they've got it wrong. I'd pray for you if I was religious but I'll leave it to those who are.

Hopefully its not as bad as you fear.
Keep a positive mental outlook, and stay strong.

Good luck mate.
Had stage 4 Hodgkin's lymphoma at 18. (Mentioned it on here before)
9 months chemo and a load of radiotherapy
This was 30 years ago. Lucky enough to get through....
Medicine advanced so much in that time.
Fingers crossed it isn't what you think....but if you have to have any treatment (sometimes they do it as a precaution) I can share experiences of that. All the best at this stage!

Treatment has come such a long way so wishing you a speedy mate.

Wishing you the best with the MRI scan. Hopefully it won't be as feared.

Good luck with the MRI Mate , good thoughts and positivity your way 🙏🙏🙏

Hope that the results of the further tests are kind to you Baz, and that they've caught the bastard early.
Wishing you all the very best.

Best of luck, my Wife has been very recently diagnosed with Kidney Cancer and she goes into UHCW on the 27th of July for a full removal of her right Kidney... waiting on results to see if it's spread elsewhere.
One of the reasons i post infrequently lately.
Sorry to hear this nicksar. Hope she makes a speedy recovery. Sending best wishes. 🩵

Ouch. Sorry to hear that. Focus on beating the bastard (if the bastard is what it turns out to be).
Best wishes.

Good luck chap. Take it as a positive that they can't clarify or say with any certainty what it is yet 👍

MRI scan next Thursday at 2.25pm in Redditch hospital.
