That's Grendel all over. Like he dislikes Coventry city centre. Fine you would say, but he has to keep telling everyone how he dislikes Coventry city centre and does so again and again and again.

He doesn't find me funny. Fine. I've lost count though of the amount of times he has to keep telling me I'm not funny. Like the more times he says it makes it somehow truer. Must have told me at least 20 times now. Ha.

It's laughable. No way I would travel 50 miles away and couldn't even if I wanted to. I don't have to justify myself to him or anyone else.

It's clear as day why so many people block him.

Funny Tony likes the post. If you were named Astute he’d accuse you of playing the victim

Correct. Wasn’t especially a football fan full stop until my 20’s. Cov vs Leeds in 96 was my first game, George Graham’s first game after returning to management following his ban also IIRC. I’m sure you can work out for yourself if that means if I’ve been to HR or not.

For someone who’s apparently not interested in what games I go to you’re sure are showing a lot of interest in what games I’ve been to.

I’ll help you out. I’ve watched CCFC in all 4 leagues, in 3 different cup competitions, home and at times but not that regularly away also.

Astute disagrees with you by agreeing with you and then plays the victim if you point that out. Not nearly the same as what Otis has done. Besides. Otis is funny, as are you but Otis sets out to be funny.

I find it all amusing. Tiresome though too.

May have only been 5 on that thread that said they had you on block, but that obviously doesn't include all the other eleventy billion who just didn't admit it at the time.

Not sure I do to be honest.

It's just a built-in mechanism I have developed over the years. Used to be incredibly shy and it was a case of throwing one liners so I didn't have to enter into meaningful conversation.

I now just say the first thing that comes into my head without thinking. I know loads of it isn't funny, but it's now just the way I am.

I find it an excellent coping device.

It would be days at most as the reason for the meeting being in April was said by the EFL to be because they wanted to confirm what was happening with promotion and relegation prior to the run in and play offs.

That’s be insane IMO. You can’t set the criteria then days later say times up. The EFLhave met Wasps and Sisu and must know that it would focus minds and be worth a last ditch attempt. Maybe I’m clutching at straws considering the competence of the EFL but still.

Are the EFL & Trust that nieve!!!! Setting up a survey to ask fans if they support moving 50 miles away or Expulsion from the Football League? Do they not think that Sunderland Fans, Notts County Fans etc are not voting to exact their vengance upon us for past misdemenours by our fans!(its not rocket science to get hold of Coventry post codes and email addresses of the internet nowadays) And why the hell is it 50 miles and not 15 or 20? I dont know personally but can guess that SHITSU have informed them thats where the ground share will be (Bastards) and anyhow the EFL are looking for something to Absolve themselves when they make the decision and point the finger at the fans because they voted for one of the options to suit their bloody decision.

As a very last resort, temporary groundshare with strict terms on a plan going forward.

Nick only the Sunderland Fans or Notts County will vote for expulsion on this survey! they wont be able to resist it!

I have no confidence that SISU will build an alternative stadium & I cannot see them selling up. Therefore, making a selection is tricky. It might be a case of voting for the least worse option & know that our fan base will shrink dramatically during our exile from the city

Clearly some City fans have voted C. They have actually admitted it.

Not quite sure many fully understood the implications and just looked at A and B being totally unpalatable and therefore selected C.

I'm sure some voting would have been hotheaded and reactionary.

I'm sure our fanbase, local community and council would support a move if it made business sense?

Yep, agree.

It's a case of 'How would you like to be killed' rather than 'would you like to be killed or not'.

Option 1 kills the club eventually,
Option 2 kills the club definitely (no land) and within three years is pie in the sky
Option 3 will happen if nothing changes pretty quick, doesn’t need voting on. All three are dire choices and all three raise the spectrum of a Phoenix club again a dire scenerio.
But I have a hunch what might happen and it’s just a hunch.
We all know there’s been a bid this week to buy the club, it’s been turned down, as yet not flat but one reason given the bid is “far too low” a chink of light compared to other rejections in the past perhaps.
So could that attract another higher bid or grounds for negotiations. Now Rome wasn’t built in a day so if a bit of jaw jaw starts happening would take time so could a one off another year deal at the Ricoh happen on the same basis and stipulations we had this year? Of course we are back in the will sisu sell terrortory but as I see it option 1, 2 or 3 wipes a lot of value off their asset and option 1or 2 would require significant injections of funds to continue to operate as business.

There’s 3 significant dates on the horizon April 2nd when the EFL want answers as to where we play next season, the Supreme Court appeal date which can’t come soon enough and of course the EGM proposed for April 26th.
I think the most significant will be the appeal, the result either way shifts the goalposts imo.
I’m still hopeful at this almost eleventh hour we will be sorted if only for a short time.

The EFl will back down on the dates

I told you the 6 mile stipulation was always nonsense which it is as is that date

They will wait far longer than that - it the case of Maidstone United they waited until the day before the season kicked off

Agree on the 26th date perhaps that can go into the summer BUT eventually answers will be required not only by the EFL but the players and agents too.
Where was the 6 mile stipulation mentioned in that post ?

FFS are you telling me you don’t want any new fans coming to the club full stop? Even if someone starts supporting the club at 80 I’d be happy for them to come and to hear their views....... Tony is a Cov fan like you.

Granted I concede 6 mile isn’t hard and fast personally though I don’t think there is anywhere, Nuneaton perhaps, but I’m certain local media etc would have found out and I’m not certain Warwickshire council will allow it.

Judging by the Facebook fans forum, unfortunately most of our fanbase are thick. They almost unanimously were saying they voted C and some crazy comments next to it how seppalla is a slag etc. I believe the lack of intelligence amongst some fans is actually part of the story here as they’ve been so so easy to manipulate for the CCC and London Wasps cause

In my opinion we could play in the fuckin Congo for 3 years as long as we have a football club to support in the not too distant future. Surely if it’s a question of not existing any more or another spell away from Coventry we do that? Absolutely despair at any city fan that would rather expulsion from the leagues

I don’t think any fan wants expulsion but as we stand now it will happen all three of those options leads to being out the league eventually one way or another

That’s not what’s asked though. It’s “deny a groundshare”, not “get kicked out” so people are voting because they think Sisu should do a deal. They probably haven’t put 2 and 2 together and realised that Sisu might let us get kicked out.

It’s a badly designed question for all kinds of reasons. Same again as the referendum, you can’t accurately put the positions of a complex scenario across in a multiple choice question.

Reading it back I may have. I read “going on” as “happening right now” not “will happen on the future”. Fair point.
