I agree. Lamps did well at Chelsea under the transfer embargo working with younger players. To follow the Brentford / Bournemouth model we need to develop young players and also blend with overseas that can be picked up for sensible money and make the grade here. I still think Markelo will be fine for the money paid.

club Bruges paid £11m for Igor Thiago as a 21 year old decent prospect and cashed in a year later. The main thing will be keeping the right dynamic in the dressing room, not buying players that won’t fight for each other and the badge.
