We all love the old grounds don’t we? I used to love the old Highfield Road which was one of my first away trips in the early 70s. Yes I’m that old!

The new stadium is needed if the club want to progress. St Andrews, although in the best state it’s ever been is in a horrible area now whereas the new one will be nearer the city centre and in the middle of a modern sports quarter. Knighthead are literally developing a modern state of the art addition to the city centre similar to resorts world by the NEC. It will benefit the city as a whole and create tons of jobs and opportunities.

The design of any ground is always subjective. It’s different which is good but the chimneys take some getting used to but new ideas always do. The fact that our rivals will be able to see it from their ground amuses me. The 62,000 capacity is aimed at other events but we can and will get bigger crowds. We can all remember going to the likes of West Ham, Spurs and Newcastle when they had sub 20,000 gate.

I welcome it and after a sad list of chancer owners the current ones are the type we used to dream about. Genuine and loaded
I don’t mind you or villa I don’t mind you having billionaire owners what I do mind is who your owners are. There may come a day where 75% of the premier league clubs are owned by Americans and they come from a country which does not understand promotion/relegation. Perhaps they will use rugby as an example no promotion for next 3 years unless they somehow find an excuse to let Worcester up. Also your owners have already said they want a franchise rugby club there words not mine. The Rugby Union are already destroying rugby in this country and I feel we are sleepwalking into destroying football below the premier league.

Morning all

We’re inconsistent away as Millwall showed (beat em 4-0 at home) but pretty solid at home. Hoping we can do you lads a favour this evening.

I take it we can rely on your support 😃
i suppose i can support the "birmingham blue socks" for an hour and a half.

I would rather Middlesborough go up than Ipswich so hope that they get a draw just to keep them that bit further ahead of them but far enough behind us.

I want to have the biggest gap possible between us and the teams that are capable of catching us. If that means cheering for Birmingham City tonight then so be it. I want Middlesbrough to lose tonight.

Like you I have a preference for Middlesborough to go up instead of Ipswich but ultimately all I really care about is that we finish in the top two. If Ipswich don't make one of the automatic places I fancy them to come up through the playoffs.

I think Blues have become a lot harder to like in the past few years, however, on balance I still like them (just). I developed a soft spot for them when they had that maniac Barry Fry in charge, plus I always liked the very loud KRO song.

Got nothing against Boro either, decent club, but hopes Blues thrash them tonight.

In spirit I'll be having a pre match pint in the Roost, just seen Ayling is playing, get at him and all will be well
