He can't do it by himself (7 Viewers)

As we see over the last few years not only the premiership clubs but also the championship clubs and lower are being invested in by international companies that may not have a deep interest in football but their clients can see the product and feel it, like Wrexham, and they can obtain vast amounts of monies from interested parties, and that must be soul destroying. to 'real' owners who want to do it differently.
We are still in pole position for promotion and we may still reach the premiership the automatic route but parachute payments and billionaire owners will continually have the upper hand from the off set, and that's why I believe Doug King needs to seek a partner who can invest in the club or he will continually fail. This year we have reach these dizzy heights mainly because of the shrewd management of Mark Robins and the steady growth and progress we made under him. I love FL but if it wasn't for MR we would not be feeling the benefits of his work.
Likewise Doug King has inherited a club that was on the up and he could attract fans in their number who are starved of success and have brought into his project, but this year, if we don't go up, may be as far as we can go under his ownership. I personally would follow them everywhere but the majority wouldn't and FL possibly wouldn't see us as a project that match his ambitions.
Of course we can go up and then Doug sells us and with the club in the top league he would undoubtedly get more financial reward than one in the second division, but if he is struggling now a failed promotion even when we were 12 points clear at one point accounts for nothing. I hope Doug is around for a long time but he definitely needs help. Football is a fickle sport and what he has achieved thus far could be undone with one failed attempt and the scale of our fall is staggering and he will be remember more from that than the success he has brought to the club.

If we don’t go up Frank Lampard might be seen as a project that doesn’t match other clubs ambitions.
