And 22k of them wasn’t even British. We’ll have to increase the commonwealth caps soon as it turns out that the “patriots” aren’t that patriotic. Bloody foreigners coming here taking our…
Its not a new thing having foreign nationals serving in the British armed forces.

Hopefully my skills will be utilised and I can sit in a nice warm room and fly drones while the simpletons like sparks go straight into the meat grinder.

Theyd have me in the war room planning attacks. Foreign nationals like you will be straight on the frontline as human shields.

If you're in person like what you are on here, you'll have a bullet in the back of the head before the first break.

No chance. I'm highly respected and they'd probably bring me in to increase the troops morale. I'd be like a 21st century Vera Lynn.

Yes I know. Which is why I was aware that 22k of the rejected applicants to join the British army were from the commonwealth when the quota for commonwealth soldiers was reached. The second largest group of failed applicants to medical rejection. In fact medical rejection and the commonwealth quota having been reached was pretty much the all of the rejections bar a few thousand for other reasons.

I thought the patriots would be signing up en masse to protect and defend their country?

Happily, but not to be fucked off to some random country in an Elitest war, whilst we're being fucked over here internally.

Same. Only place ill fight now is on the shores of this country. To claim it back and protect it from invasion.

Less patriot army, more Dads army

I didnt actually read the article tbf as it was behind a pay wall. And im not paying to read it as im not that fussed about what it said. But thats quite a high number of commonwealth rejections in 1 year. Id like to know how many commonwealth applications there were all together. In fairness, in the time I was in the number of commonwealth lads in pur battalion grew around 4000%. It was crazy quick. When I first got to battalion we had 1 Fijian and 2 Jamaicans. By the time I left (6years later) we had 3 South Africans, a Nepalese lad, around 25 Jamaicans and around 30 Fijians. If the rise in number inclined as much and as fast, im not surprised at high numbers of applicants tbf.

Is the going to become a review that gets quietly buried as its not given the desired results?

Not heard much from the Alan Milburn interim review on NEETS which briefly touched on the same area, and drew largely the same conclusions
Accusations that the young are a snowflake generation are wrong, the head of an independent review into mental health, ADHD and autism has told the BBC.

Prof Peter Fonagy said in an exclusive interview that there had been a real rise in mental distress among children and young people, with anxiety, depression, self-harm and eating disorders the most common.

He said it was "harder to be young" now given the economic and employment uncertainty young people face, coupled with the challenges presented by social media.

His review was ordered nine months ago by Wes Streeting after the then-health secretary claimed in an interview that young people were over-diagnosed and "written off".

Not entirely sure this is a way out there idea. It's something that already exists in other European counties.

Given that reports have said that the update to the war book, due to be completed by the end of the year, will state there are major resourcing gaps is it not an issue that needs to be addressed?
Neets?

National Service I basically the solution staring us square in the eyes at this point. I don't think I've seen it mooted anywhere but happy to be pointed at any half coherent proposal.

How can Sultana continue as an MP - she is just a grifter - this is beyond pathetic for a Member of Parliament

Hard to disagree. She's a caricature at this point.

I do actually think an act of parliament should be introduced that if you change parties there should be a local election. She is just trolling around and taking this piss

Yeah it doesn’t make sense that there isn’t already.

One of her posts randomly said the only person prepared to support Sheeran was Boy George

From someone who has massively complained about being the target of social media bullying and wanting laws on it tightened. The woman's a hypocrite.

Would be quite happy with this tbf. Might stop parties just accepting them as well, when they really have no affinity with their core voters.

Although technically you elect the individual, and Sultana would argue it's the Labour Party moving away from her rather than the other way around.

For once I agree with Corbyn - much of the left seem scared to openly challenge the Pakistani regime over this
