Do you want to discuss boring politics? (52 Viewers)

Regardless of my personal and economic situation, which you know very little about, I have contributed positively to the countries I have lived in through taxes and spending. I also haven't committed any crimes or tried to tell the native people that they should bend for me, or indeed sexually assault any of them, which is a popular pastime for many coming to the UK in recent times. The number of Brits living here is is also less than boat arrivals in 2 months of last year alone, so your point is irrelevant. You know you haven't got an argument though, which is why you are lashing out. It's another reason why so many people don't bother engaging and then vote in ways you cannot comprehend.

You go on holiday to Benidorm which is ironic, and have limited travel experience, let alone the minerals to live somewhere different. Given that the vast majority of the country just voted for Reform, and you think it is because it's down to the price of a sandwich, you aren't really in any position to lecture anybody on any of this.
They didn’t
They will be the largest party but only with about 33% it’s not a majority

Great results considering the projection

It isnt because we will end up with Labour who anyone who supports the club should ever back in my eyes, and the greens as a coalition

I want more Turkish barbers, chicken shops and fly tipping in my city anyway

Im not at all up with politics but am I right in saying that to get the majority Labour could do a deal with the Greens and we end up with a more left wing council than we’ve had previously?

Interesting outcome for the city considering the surge in votes for Reform.

It's local council so it won't make that much difference. Unless the Greens are going to demand all rubbish is recycled and potholes are filled with organic, sustainable hummus.

A friend of mine stood for Labour in Coventry I might add, didn't get in. Local organisation of the campaign wasn't great, apparently

Didn't take long.

Reform have already sacked one newly elected councillor for Holocaust denial.

So the Starmer government isn’t a majority?
Pretending to be stupid to sound intelligent
Seats wise
Vote wise no
Majority of the Uk not a chance
Exactly. 48m registered voters in a country of 69m of which 28m voted, 9m of which voted labour. By no stretch of the imagination can anyone claim that the majority of the country voted labour at the last general election.

Even more stupid would be to claim that the majority of the country voted reform yesterday. For starters there over 300 councils in the UK and only 136 had elections yesterday so the majority of the country didn’t even vote yesterday. Turnout was low, around 30% in most areas so even where people were eligible to vote the majority didn’t vote. Of those that did vote although reform got the most votes the majority voted for other parties and independents. The majority of the country voted reform is literally the most moronic take any could take from yesterday.

Waiting for the outrage from the usual posters

Literally the most antisemitic thing anyone can do.
I think being the perpetrator of the holocaust trumps denying it.

Probably also trying to stab people's for being Jewish is worse tbh.

Holocaust denial is just being a bit thick.

The vetting process for the protest parties is pathetic.

I genuinely worry about this country, not just the elected candidates but WTF people think they are voting for
That’s 2 Reform candidates forced to step down in recent days - one for celebrating the rape of a Sikh woman and the other for holocaust denial.

Staffordshire Council recently went through 3 leaders - not just councillors but leaders of the council - in 3 months because they were found to be racist.

When was the last time we had a government who had 50% of the electorate vote in a government?

It’s crazy. We had a convicted terrorist as a candidate in one Birmingham ward.

This is all normal stuff tho

Oh. You weren’t pretending.

It’s irrelevant. The claim was that the majority of country just voted reform yesterday, they didn’t. The majority of the country didn’t even have a vote yesterday, of those that did the majority didn’t vote at all and of those that did vote the majority voted for someone else You surely understand that. Or maybe not.

I understand your point is pointless. Starmer frequently says the British people have given him a mandate to govern. According to you he hasn’t.

I should have said in this day and age. I take your point about the stabbing.

I can’t agree on it just being a bit thick though, it’s so much more than that. The holocaust is undeniable to deny is just pure blind racism in the form of antisemitism which is obviously undeniably moronic but the motivation behind it makes it so much more.

2 posts today mentioning Starmer, 0 posts mentioning the holocaust denying newly appointed reform councillor.

Better write into the BBC as they’ve talked nothing but about Starmer in the last hour
