Google John Cooper. He was on the show. Google explains it better than I could.
Too late. Grendel beat me to it.

He committed two murders only a month after being on the show.

That’s what missing out on Bully’s special prize can do to you

bloody hell! I'd never heard of him.
As someone who's never embarked on a life of crime I may be being naive. But I'd hazard a guess that going on a popular TV programme watched by up to 17 million people isn't the best way of staying under the radar.

That'd be the equivilent American version of the show had there been one.
Always fascinated me that my Mrs, highly educated /inteligent would make time in a busy schedule should we be home or occassionally visiting relatives to watch the show.
Bit of useless information a mate I worked with late 70's though 80's reckoned Billy Wright stole the Idea for the show after he'd sent the Idea in to ITV.

Absolute legendary program, you couldn't beat a bit of bully, some classic phrases from Bowen.

RIP Jim

On the subject of death my sister asked me not long ago " what songs do I want for my funeral ? "
Bloody hell she thinks I ain't got long left then !
But it got me thinking I'd like All Right Now by Free, and probably My Way by Sinatra. My son said " How about Highway To Hell dad ? Cheeky bastard !

On a lighter note some years ago I went to the funeral of the landlord of the Jolly Colliers pub in Walsgrave. He was a moody sod to be honest and would turn the jukebox down and we all thought he hated rock music.
Anyway at the end of the funeral the vicar said ," and now we'll play his favourite song. " And blasting out around the Crem came Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf.
A titter started at the back and then me and a few of us just cracked up ! His missus gave us a stern look but we thought we had got the wrong funeral !

that's the route I'm going. Was raised a catholic but I'm now an atheist. Been to a few of humanist ceremonies recently and they seem to be getting more popular.

I used to work with an old boy 'Dennis ' From Northern Ireland, a bit of a crochety old Fella but endearing too .
He used to hate the radio on to loud in the workshop and was known to cut the plugs of when you went out on site.
So it was amusing to hear when he retired back to Northern Ireland, which I believe was a generous sort of assisted programme you or I wouldn't get here in the mainland.
Anyway I digress but the appartment block he moved into was fairly Modern and the walls not so solid or thick, so we laughed our tits off when we heard his next door neighbour was nearly deaf and had the volume jacked up for listening or veiwing.

Funerals can be amusing. A catholic one I went to went on for ever and we all were glad when we got to the club after for the piss up. Anyway it was more like a party than a solemn occasion with women dancing and the beer flowing. I said to a mate " look at that bloke dancing like he's John Travolta. " It turned out to be the priest that took the service !

Already sorted my funeral songs. Told my Funeral Plan people that I want "Comfortably Numb" - Pink Floyd and "Ain't no Grave Can Hold My Body Down" - Johnny Cash. I chose the Floyd one coz I will be comfortably numb and the Johnny Cash one coz I fully intend to come back! :emoji_coffin: :emoji_skull:

All these famous people passing away. But let's face it we've almost forgotten about them already haven't we.
But I've lost family and friends years ago, but many are not far from my mind on a daily basis.
