Two/thirds of our starting midfield out and the first XI still looks good, plus good options on the bench. Our midfield depth is great at the moment.

That's good news really but for this game its not ideal. We've done well to get by without Rudoni but no Torp too is a big ask.

If torp becomes the new sheaf in terms of injury record we definitely have to act during the January wi dow

We've got great cover already here .
We've got BTA to drop into the no10 spot, then there's Rudoni to come back in, then Allen and Eccles.

Your not going to attract another top quality player when they know they arnt going to get enough minutes.

Today's midfield 3 is still the best in the league even without Rudoni and Torp. That's why we let Sheaf go. And Allen has the advantage of having fresh legs against a Watford side who played on Wednesday. His fresh legs could make all the difference.

i do think Allen could do a job. i personally just like more balance with 3 actual midfielders

Would imagine Eccles will come on second half if we’re ahead

You’re telling me it is, ACL recovery is usually 9+ months

Midfield needs to step up today. As lost some creative flair without torp,

but he did look of it the other night so
Hopefully it is just an illness

Would definitely like to see another decent winger added to squad to come off bench. I guess that’s kkh’s role for now

I agreed with this post until you said it's still the best midfield 3 in the league... Considering there are only 2 midfielders and one of them is Allen I'm not sure.

Allen is a solid player at this level and should still be enough to get a result today hopefully.

To be clear though there is no benefit in worrying about his absence until Lampard explains post match what it is.
