Jeering is bad form. None of those players really had a choice whether they came or went.

Lampard probably sanctioned selling Sheaf off because we got a good price for a player who is starting to miss a lot of game time. He’s still a top Championship midfielder, just not compared to Grimes or Onyeka, who basically cost us £1.5m if you view his arrival as offsetting Sheaf’s departure.

Hyam certainly didn’t force a move and Doyle was a loan player. The only player it really applies to is COH because he left to join a team with better prospects of promotion and we got their first. Hamer could maybe be added to the list but he left to play for a PL side at the time - his heart is probably still at Cov.
Jeering players, I don't think is fair

But jeering Wrexham because they are Welsh, I would say, is more than acceptable.

To cover it because Wasps were going bust.

Sheaf celebrated like they had won the league in the away game though. Fitting that he will be injured for this one.

The pitch needed covering cos Wasps were going bust. We needed to sell Hyam cos we were going bust. Keep cucking for Sisu though.

I agree with nearly all of it. But Sheaf?

Grimes scores against his old club and doesn't celebrate the goal. Wrexham beat us and Sheaf celebrated like he beat us all by himself. Respect goes both ways.

Sheaf was a great player for us but he was very injury prone and to get 6 million (alledgedly) for him was great and banter goes on all the time, ie your shit ahhhhhh , top of the league you're having a laugh etc etc
I don't think he was great.
Gave the ball away far far too often.
Then became injury prone.

6 million was sale of the century

I'd like to see Markelo get some decent minutes tomorrow. Esse won't be here next year.
Esse won't play much now, he showed early promise but just is not at the level. He has so much potential but just annoys the hell out of me with all the silly tricks and gives it away all the time. I can't really argue with his work rate though to be fair.

Let's go with Markelo tonight, if he is fit!

The whole respecting your former team thing is nearly always a bit inconsistent.

Ex-player scores and they generally don't celebrate.

Current teammate scores, and the ex-player generally joins in. The excuse or thought process may be that they are congratulating their teammate rather than celebrating.

Either way, I'm not bothered about Sheaf celebrating that day.

Just seen a tiktok of a fireworks company on the roof of the CBS installing fireworks for later today!

Going to be a special atmosphere 🎆🎆🎇

Think Sunday will be special and lots of things in planning to make atmosphere unreal, and hopefully lifting a trophy at the end 🩵 I will be wearing sky blue that day and hopefully as many as possible do the same to make it look great to the cameras

I booked this week off a while ago as I had a gut feeling we’d win the title against Pompey.

We do/would get Champions banners tonight though I believe - a similar thing to Friday, then the podium/trophy on Sunday...

So a reason to stay off the pitch tonight if we win!!
Think they'd be missing next season if they were tempted onto the pitch?

Anyone know how I can watch this in US ? Which channels show EFL?
Going to be in a sports bar in St Petersburg FL. Try to persuade them to put it on.

Anticipating a very tough game; Portsmouth were very impressive against both Leicester and Ipswich, are in strong form and have incredible work ethic and team spirit. I think if they take the lead we'll really struggle to get back in the match, and their fans will be fired-up and loud as they always are.

God, I want a win tomorrow. Imagine clinching the title at the CBS with time to spare, a phenomenal end to the greatest season of all of our lives. I'll take a scrappy 1-0 all day long.
We have a much better team than them and they have lost 2 important players to hamstrngs.

We should win
